Menus"
All menus can either #e naigated #$ mouse or the arro% ke$s and the enter ke$ on $our ke$#oard.
Options"
At the &ptions screen $ou can set up $our controls' ad(ust the olume )or music and e))ects' and
%atch the credits.
Controller etup"
Con)igure the controls to $our taste #$ going to &ptions*Controller Setup.
The preset controls are as )ollo%ing+
Accelerate: Right Arro%

Ad(usts the resolution o) the game. 2o%er settings make )or a #etter per)ormance. 3Auto4 .preset/
sets the game to use $our desktop resolution.
Texture (ilter"
Sets the )iltering )or te0tures. 3Anisotropic4 .preset/ gies $ou the #est picture 5ualit$. 36ilinear4 and
3Trilinear4 hae lo%er 5ualit$' #ut speed up the game7s per)ormance.
#ntialiasing"
Adds to the picture 5ualit$' #ut has a high impact on the game7s per)ormance .preset+ o))/.
Particles"
Particles are used )or man$ graphic )eatures such as the 8-Cra)t7s trails and %eather e))ects.
9ost likel$ the last graphic option to consider changing i) $ou hae per)ormance issues. .preset+ on/
)sync"
:s$nc gies $ou a more sta#le' stead$ picture' #ut can result in lags on lo% per)ormance s$stems.
Some graphic cards need to #e set to ;triple #u))ering; to run s$nc properl$.
Profiles"
Starting the game )irst time $ou %ill #e asked to create a pro)ile. Choose a name and click 3accept4.
The pro)ilename %ill #e used to mark $our highscores respectiel$ the record times sho%ing on the
game screen. Ghosts .see chapter 3Timeattack4/ are also associated %ith $our pro)ile.
The con)igurations $ou do at the options screen' as %ell as the control setup' are saed to $our pro)ile
too. This allo%s indiidual settings i) t%o or more users %ant to pla$ the game on the same s$stem.
<ou can create additional pro)iles #$ choosing 3Pro)iles4 )rom the mainmenu. 8ere $ou can also
delete old pro)iles.
Unlocking Tracks and H-Crafts"
To unlock ne% tracks and 8-Cra)ts $ou need to progress through the Championship mode. =er$ ne%
track unlocked on the Championship gets aaila#le )or all other game modes. >e% 8-Cra)ts get
aaila#le %hen $ou reach a gien 2eel.

Gamemodes"
Championship"
The Championship is the main mode o) the game. <ou go through three seasons %ith an increasing
di))icult$ leel. >ot onl$ do the tracks get constantl$ more challenging' $our opponents get tougher as
%ell.
=ach Season is split into )our 5uarters %ith a gien leel re5uirement. <ou need to )ul)ill this
re5uirement to proceed.
<ou get 3 points )or %inning a race' 2 points )or )inishing second place' and 1 point )or )inishing
third. These points are used to raise $our leel.
A)ter )inishing a ?uarter 3R-6uttons4 %ill sho% up )or each single race o) that 5uarter. <ou can use
them to restart a single race and get a #etter score than on $our initial tr$. ,on@t %orr$ to lose points'
%orse results %ill #e ignored.
Restarting a single race %ill not harm $our progression in the championship. Clicking 3>e0t Race4
%ill al%a$s start the most adanced race.
<our Championship progression gets automaticall$ saed a)ter )inishing a race.
#rcade"
&n the Arcade mode $ou can hae single races )ull$ con)igured to $our taste. <ou can choose the
track' the num#er o) opponents' a di))icult$ leel' and the num#er o) laps.
The Track)ilter allo%s $ou to )ilter tracks #$ their di))icult$. Set it to 3All4 i) $ou %ant to choose )rom
all unlocked tracks. .Tracks get unlocked through progressing in the championship/
Timeattack"
The Timeattack mode is split into 38otlap4 and 3Timerace4. <ou can choose one o) them through the
3Racemode4 selector on the main Timeattack screen+
Hotlap:
<ou hae an in)inite amount o) laps to set the lap record time. To 5uit this mode $ou hae to pause the
game and select 35uit4.
Timerace:
6eat the Targettime on a track. The num#er o) laps is set #$ the gameand can@t #e changed.
The Track)ilter allo%s $ou to )ilter tracks #$ their di))icult$.

<ou can choose to displa$ a 3Ghost4 on the track. &n 3Timeattack4 the ghost sho%s $our #est lap
eer' on 3Timerace4 it sho%s all laps o) $our #est timerace. Ghosts displa$ transparent and $ou can
not collide %ith them.

&i*als"
Rials is a competitie timerace mode )or up to )our pla$ers. <ou can choose to compete on a single
race or on a series o) random races. The track)ilter allo%s to )ilter %hich di))icult$ o) tracks %ill #e
used. =ach pla$er can select his o%n pro)ile' allo%ing to use indiidual controller setups.
Pla$er 1 %ill set a )irst targettime and ghost )or the session. -ollo%ing pla$ers strie to #eat the times
and ghosts o) their )orerunners.
The pla$er %ho scores the most points in all races %ins the contest.
Gamedisplay"
Current +ap" Sho%s $our time on the current lap.
,est +ap" Sho%s the #est lap $ou droe on the actie session.
Time" Sho%s the total time the race is on.
+ap &ecord" Sho%s the alltime laprecord )or the current track.
Trackrecord" Sho%s the record time )or the track .Championship and Timerace onl$/.
+ap" Sho%s the num#er o) laps )inished and the total num#er o) laps.
Pos" Sho%s $our current place in the race.
Targettime" The counter sho%s ho% much time $ou hae le)t to #eat the time on a timerace.
Position Indicator" 8ere $ou can see $our position relatiel$ to $our opponents. Ahite #ars le)t )rom
the middle indicate opponents ahead' %hite #ars right )rom the middle indicate opponents #ehind.
peed Indicator" Sho%s $our current speed.

Choose )rom three 8-Cra)ts. Ahen $ou #egin the gamet%o o) them are locked. <ou hae to earn
Championship points to unlock them.
Highscores"
Go to &ptions*8ighscores to see the record times )or all tracks and modes.
!xporting Ghosts"
-or direct competition %ith $our )riends the Timeattack modes allo% $ou to e0port $our 8ighscore
Ghosts. 8aing a highscore set' simpl$ click 3e0port ghost4 on the timerace menu. The ghost is
no% e0ported to the 3ghosts4 )older in $our game director$ .eg. ...*program )iles*hcra)t*ghosts/.
Ghosts )or 8otlap and Timerace get e0ported separatel$' depending on the mode $ou hae chosen. All
e0ported ghosts in the ghosts )older can #e selected #$ using the ghost on*o)) selector on the
Timeattack menu. To make a ghost aaila#le to a )riend' simpl$ send him the e0ported )ile. As soon as
he puts it into his o%n ghosts )older $our ghost %ill sho% up )or him in the game.
