Magandang araw rin

NV: The patient smiled to the
student nurse and he speaks
in a moderate voice.
Greeting the client by name indicates
awareness and it shows that the nurse is
giving recognition to the patient as an
individual.
Smiling back of the patient is a good
indication of appreciation for the simple
things done which portrays concern for
them.
This falls under the taxonomy of valuing
because the patient is assigning relative
worth with the student nurse. (Videbeck,
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing 5

Edition 2011, page 103)

hesitation. The patients response
indicates his present state or what she
feels. This falls under feeling because
this involves subjective awareness of

NV: The patient smiled and
walks toward the sink. He
started to do the morning care.
He perform it well in a small
period time and independently.
CP was able to respond easily to the
student nurse. This means that patient is
paying her attention to what the student
nurse asks him to do. The patient
established autonomy than shame and
doubt because he himself performed the
morning care without assistance and
perform it will. He also has a self worth
because he know that he need to clean
himself. He is also knows how to
conserve water by turning it off when not
in use. Individuals who were perceived
as warm responded to others with a shift
of posture toward the other person, a
smile and direct eye contact. Townsend,

The patient responded quickly to the
question and this means that he is
oriented and coherent. He was able to
recall his birthday and his place before
he was admitted at the Cavite Center for
Mental Health, it means that his memory
is still intact because he was able to
recall memory from the past. Exploring is
a way of delving further into a subject or
an idea.

The patient was able to remember the
reason if why he is brought to the
institution and even share background
about his life without the student nurse
asking him, it means that his memory is
still intact because he was able to recall
memory from the past. Maybe the patient
was comfortable towards the nurse
because he was able to share
information without asking him. This falls
under communicating because the
patient was able to share information or
send messages toward the student
nurse. According to Mastin there are
three main types of recall, being able to

occurred, whether chronological events
in our autobiographical memories, or the
order of the different parts of a sentence

His verbalization means that he was
agreeing on the contract that the student
nurse was given to him. The patient
looks happy and he appreciates what I
was done for him and what the student
nurses had done for the patients in the
CCMH. This falls under the taxonomy of
valuing because the patient valued the
relationship that he has to the student
nurse and valued the dedication program
for them.

It also indicates that he can relate to the

NV: maintained eye contact
Patient understands that the interaction
is ending and responds to the student
nurse positively. Ending a conversation
is necessary to set limitation in the
interaction and avoids separation anxiety
between the patient and his nurse. This
response of the patient shows that he
accepted the termination of the
conversation.
