#his section e%plains the re(uirement o$ a RIN and has -een placed .ithin this document solely
to provide $urther understanding o$ the re(uirements o$ a RIN as a part o$ the Bluetooth
Buali$ication Program. #he de$inition .ithin Bluetooth PRD 5.@ states that a RIN is the
instructions $rom the Mem-er manu$acturing the Bluetooth ,omponent Product on ho. the
Bluetooth ,omponent Product is integrated.

Prior to the (uali$ication o$ a Bluetooth Buali$ied Design& a RIN document is re(uired $or any
Bluetooth ,omponents and optional $or any other Bluetooth product type. A completed RIN

BBA can evaluate the applica-ility o$ a ,omponentGs pre-tested $unctionality to.ard the

RIN may -e a necessary document to $urther descri-e the integration o$ such product type into
