vinckxu Virginia Graham
bat a brand new nighttime
national television "talk"
show, that hw made her
change her home base from
New York to Los Angeles.
"1 rented this apartment
famished, but my family and
penoul belongings are so Im-
portant to me that I brought
lots of my own things with
me including my husband.
"I own the apartment in
New York, which we'll never
give up. I go Twine* to New
York every five weeks for
ten days, to spend with my
daughter and her babies. I'm
very doge to my whole family,
including, if you will believe
it, my husband's five sisters.
"I think that 'home* is
wherever you happen to have
to be at that time,' Home
is when you can have people
in, and have a home - cooked
Ensconced in her newly rented Los Angles
apartment, Virginia Graham has made the
furnished apartment seem "at home", by
surrounding herself with many rare porcelain

"I happen to love food, but

ersatz, like phony chemical
bacon bits. But I don't know
what's happened to people
these days.
They've dieted themselves
right out of hospitality.
"In this apartment, when
people come by, every dish
is filled with special things
that I've searched for and
found in little, off - the -
beaten - track stores. But in
most homes these, days, you're
lucky you even get dinner.
"This apartment, let's face
it, is furnished Early Broad-
way, but my apartment hi
New York is a dream. And
it's Just filled to the rafters
with rare things I've collected
over the years. You might
call it a little French maison-
ette, all done hi pastel colors.
"And alt the paintings in
the apartment are by one art-
ist, a Hungarian named Fried
Pal. I love his paintings be-
cause they're so ethereal. I
don't understand anything that
isn't beautiful, like so many
of the contemporary paintings
1 see in the galleries.
"W hy, I have a huge paint-
ing of Versailles in my New
York bedroom. So, when peo-
ple ask me where I'm going
to go on my vacation, I just
say 'to Versailles'."

total sexual equality.

Advocates of W omen's Lib-
eration cannot be happy about
this change,
"W e are still the victims
of die men, even if what they
do to us is more sneaky,"
reported the authoress.
The man of 1970 is antj-
feminist, a species not to be
confused with the misogynist.
The misogynist shuns "women
instinctively," whereas the anti
- feminist's hatred is not in-
stinctive, but deliberate.

Mme. Hubert. "Or you can

The anti - feminist, she ex-
plains, likes women and even
seeks their company. But woe

with his idea of what a woman
should be.

"W hat man hates about her
