Biography
Amlia Jardon is a Belgian mezzo soprano born in Aachen, Germany. She began her training at the
IMEP, Higher Institute of Music and Pedagogy in Namur in the classes of Benoit Giaux and Laure
Delcampe where she obtained her masters degree, with the greatest distinction. After obtaining the
aggregation of upper secondary education, she continued her training at the Ecole Normale Alfred
Cortot in Paris in the class of Daniel Ottevaere and at the Conservatoire de Valenciennes (France)
where she obtained her national Diploma career unanimously. In fall of 2012, she joined the Opera
Studio of Flanders Ghent. Amelia began her career in the role of Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte at the
Mozart Festival in Compigne Forest and at the Thtre Longjumeau. She sang L'heure espagnole
Concepcion in Ravel Phoenix Time, National Hall of Valenciennes and the Third Lady in The Magic
Flute. She was a soloist in Respighi's Il tramonto with the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, the
Dvorak Stabat Mater at the Cathedral of Saints Michel and Gudule in Brussels, the Mass in E flat
minor by Schubert at the Opra de Massy and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at the Palais des Beaux-
Arts in Brussels. Amelia is currently perfecting the IMEP with Franoise Viatour. In December 2013,
Amelia was the finalist of the Singing Competition Summerfest Europe and is the winner of singing
competition for new talent opera. Upon winning the Singing Competition for Opera Theatre
Pittsburghs Summerfest, she is currently singing at the Summerfest Festival in Pittsburg, USA.
