Excel Treatment
October 2008- Present Office Manager Denver, CO
I began working at this rehab and DUI treatment clinic in early October 2008. When I started the office was
in shambles and the clinic was in desperate need of an office manager. I really helped to organize the office
and keep track of our clients. I was in constant contact with our DUI and Rehabilitation clients and quickly
gained their confidence and built positive relationships with them. I was responsible for front desk
management and ensuring files were consistent and orderly. A lot of responsibility came with this position
and I had to be flexible and resourceful to get things done quickly and efficiently.
C.U. Helpline
January 2005 – July 2008 Marketing director, trainer Boulder, CO
C.U. Helpline is a student run organization. It is a confidential call in center and support line for the C.U.
faculty and students. My experience with C.U. Helpline was very valuable. Being a student run
organization, all of the fund raising, marketing, event planning, and organization was done by us, the
students, so I really learned to take initiative and help the organization thrive and become as successful as
possible. This organization was very dear to my heart and I put a lot of energy to make this the best
organization on the C.U. Campus. As one of the head volunteers I learned a lot about management, book
keeping, marketing, and organization. A lot depended on me and I found the challenge rewarding.
I transferred to this location in Boulder as a manager after my first summer working for the store in Denver.
It was a brand new store and I was there to help find employees, manage hours, and jump start the store on
opening day to be as successful as the other stores in Denver. I learned a lot about managing employees and
inventory during my time at Solstice while continuing to be the top sales person at the store.
This was a very high end rug gallery that hosted a very wealthy clientele. I learned to deal with many
different people in the retail world and keep the customers happy. I was also responsible for keeping track
of inventory, Sales, Customer relations, Some Management.
Other Experience
Lil’ Kickers
May 2008-Present Coach Mentor Aurora, CO
Lil’ Kickers is a soccer program for children ages 3 to 9. The program is based on positive reinforcement
principles and teaches children to be confident, respectful, and good sportsmen. I have trained hard for this
position and have really learned to adapt to all children differently and teach a neatly run class. The one on
one experience with children has been extraordinary and priceless to me.
Becoming a Big Brother at this organization has given me a lot of experience working one on one with
children. I am currently a Big Brother to a ten year old boy named Anthony. Spending time with Anthony
has taught me a lot about children and how to best interact with them.
