2.1 Construction/ Fabrication Services:
JOULES Services Limited has the capability to fabricate medium sized and large sized structures for the
oil and gas industry with marked competence for offshore and onshore modules including pipelines.
Our substantial experience in undertaking multidisciplinary works in EPCI for firms within the Oil &
Gas Industry permits JOULES to develop natural guidance towards the optimization of industrial costs
without compromising the projects quality requirements.

Our workshop/ Fabrication yard is strategically located within Port Harcourt permitting easy access.
One of our strategic alliances permits us unhindered access to a much bigger fabrication yard with
water-front (Jetty) facilities This facility we do use occasionally whenever the need arise. Our ability
to fabricate quality and cost-effective structures with great precision allows JOULES to assist her clients

2.5 Design & Fabrication of Process Equipment:
JOULES is a supplier of Custom Made Process Packages including detailed Engineering, Project
Management, Procurement, Fabrication and Testing. The process packages most times are skid
mounted and adequately tested to ensure reduced site installation time.

The detailed Engineering design for the process packages is normally done in-house. However,
depending on the complexity JOULES may involve her technical partners at this stage. The supervision
of the construction process and certification is done by DNV Nigeria or BV. Our facility is at the final
phase of ISO and API certification. Our deliverables in this area include Pressure Vessels Flare
Knockout Vessels inclusive etc.

2.7 Supply & Installation of Bulk Fluid Management Solutions:
JOULES offers Turnkey Tank Farm Development Services (TTFDS) right from the engineering design
through procurement and construction to installations and commissioning. Our construction works in
tank farm development offers our client the interface to deploy effective bulk fluid management
systems ranging from remote fluid monitoring and gauging systems to redundant online data
availability. The effectiveness of products like VAREC line of products in tank gauging, remote
monitoring and 24 x 7 data availability has been ascertained.

We have established technical synergy with ERGIL Group Turkey/ UAE for support and supply of
certified Tank Farm Equipment including Floating Roofs and Seals.

2.8 Construction of Cargo Baskets, Personnel Carriers, Skips & Containers:
JOULES is a manufacturer of high quality offshore Cargo Baskets, Containers, Skips and Personnel-
Portakabin in conformity with DNV 2.7 1 and BS EN 12079 1 (Design, manufacture and marketing
of Offshore Containers) standards. These containers are designed to have special pad eyes and are
supplied pre-slung with shackles. At JOULES, we ensure at all times that slings used are manufactured
to BS EN 12079 2 (Design, manufacture and marketing of lifting sets) standards. Containers leased out
to clients are periodically checked and maintained to BS EN 12079 3 standards.

Using certified weights, the cargo baskets are tested in line with the above listed guidelines. JOULES
has the capability to supply its clients Full sized covered Containers, Full sized open Containers
(Dimensions are built to client specifications) Chemical Transit tanks, Compactor Units, Gas Bottle
Racks, Skips of all specifications, Container Insert Baskets etc. All are built to BS EN 12079 1 and DNV
2.7 1 Standards.
We equally have the capability to supply our clients personnel carriers/ portakabin built to
international standards. These we could as well furnish to details according to client specifications.

Our offshore containers and baskets could be made to undergo the under listed tests as contained in the
Guidelines for the Approval of Offshore Containers released by the International Maritime
Organization in May, 1998.

1. 4-Point Lifting Test:
In this case, the internal load a uniformly distributed load such that the total mass of the
container and test load is equal to 2.5R, where R is the maximum allowable combined mass of the
container and its cargo. Here the container is lifted with slings attached to each of its four pad
eyes positioned at an angle to the vertical which must be equal to the design angle.

2. 2-Point Lifting Test:
Here, the internal load is such that the total mass of the container and the test load is equal to
1.5R. The container (Fitted with four pad eyes) with the load is lifted with slings fitted to two of
the four pad eyes. The selected two pad eyes must be diagonal to each other.

3. Vertical Impact Test:
The internal load here is such that the total mass of the container and the test load is equal to R.
The container is suspended at an inclined angle with the lowest corner being at least 50mm above
a rigid floor. The container is quickly released to hit the rigid floor. On the initial impact, it
should have a speed of at least 1 m/s.

2.9 Insulation, Refractory Linings & Claddings:
Our services here cover:
1. Pipe Insulation Offers excellent protection for process pipes against corrosion under insulation

3. Duct Insulation This saves energy, prevents condensation, rust and the trapping of mold and
moisture. It improves comfortable indoor environment where you have ducts.
4. Industrial Equipment Insulation Reduces wear and tear of equipment parts and help conserve
energy.
5. Metal Building Insulation Ideal for the insulation of your portakabins, caravans and metal storage
facilities. It increases the energy efficiency of your cooling or heating systems by ensuring excellent
block of heat transfer. This serves industrial projects in remote and very difficult/ hash locations.

2.10 Corrosion Control Services:
Our partnership with ERGIL Group (ERGIL Corrosion Control Systems) permits JOULES enough room
to offer her clients more diverse and very specific services in this area. Our Cathodic Protection
Technique deploys the use of Galvanic or Sacrificial Anodes made in various shapes using alloys of
Magnesium, Zinc and Aluminum. The electrochemical potential of these alloys in a CPS (Cathodic
Protection System) is more than that of Iron. However for larger structures, Galvanic Anodes cannot
economically deliver enough current to provide complete protection thus a cathodic protection rectifier
(An Impressed Current Cathodic Protection) is used to solve this problem.

technology deployed while executing a Cathodic Protection Project. The soil resistivity survey
could be done same time as the route survey since the data collected is utilized during the design of

Our Tank Cleaning works entail the isolation of the particular Tank, Sludge removal and processing,
Internal Tank Cleaning and Oil recovery. This we do deploying BLABO Tank Cleaning Technology A
system designed to offer an automated, Non-Man-Entry oil tank cleaning and oil recovery process. It
comes in modular form with each module in a 20 container ensuring ease of handle/ transport. It is
designed for large volume operations.

Under Tank Repair and Maintenance Works, JOULES undertake equally Tank Jack-up works for repair
of foundation and or replacement of rusted bottom plates, repair or replacement of Tanks Cathodic
Protection System or any other Tank component including the Tank Gauging System.

JOULES has formed technical synergies with some renowned and experienced firms strategic to our
performance in some of our service scope. This complements the capabilities of JOULES in terms of
facilities (e.g. Jetty Facility), manpower requirements and technical assistance. Our technical partners are:

1. ERGIL Group, Turkey: The group comprises of ERGIL Engineering & Construction, STORAGETech,
ERGIL Corrosion Control, RHINO Process Equipment etc. ERGIL Engineering & Construction
Company specializes in the Design, Engineering & Construction of Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessels/
Process equipment and Steel Structures. Our partnership agreement with ERGIL permits us Technical
support from their Engineering/ Technical Team and their involvement in project execution
depending on the complexity and size of the project.

2. SUNATECH International Limited, Nigeria: SUNATECH delivers Engineering Services having a
well-equipped Yard in Port Harcourt. Our partnership agreement here permits JOULES unrestricted
access to the yard facilities.

3. LOYAL Equipment PVT Limited, India: LOYAL Equipment is a certified manufacturer of pressure
vessels, heat exchangers, boilers and structural platforms. Our synergy with LOYAL makes it
possible for JOULES to receive technical support with respect to our local manufacture and
certification of pressure vessels.

3.2 Increased Service Scope:
JOULES is at the final phase of obtaining a U Stamp to certify the manufacture of Process equipment
independently. We have trained and certified some our Engineers to ASME VIII Codes and Standards
and have also formed strategic alliances with firms owning U & U2 Coded Stamps. We have also
established a successful relationship with DNV Nigeria making it possible to have our processes in this
regard supervised and certified by them.

QUALITY AND CASHES MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Quality Management System:
JOULES is committed to providing Oil and Gas facility designs and installations that meet or exceed the
expectations of our clients and all applicable regulatory requirements.

We are committed to the continual improvement of our Quality Management System while reflecting our
vision of creating value through excellence in people, quality and innovation. This policy is conspicuously
displayed in strategic position within our office and is reviewed as appropriate to ensure its continued
suitability.

We are currently concluding the certification of our processes to ISO and API Standards and also have in our
employ a SON certified Lead Auditor as the of Quality Control and Assurance unit. We presently operate a
formal Quality Management System based on NIS ISO 9001:2008 - It is implemented and maintained to
ensure the delivery of quality solutions to clients at all times. This system is continually improved in the face
of updates to the provisions of this standard.

Uncontrolled copies of our quality manual and mandatory procedures are provided to our clients upon
request or as the need arise.

CASHES Management System:
Our CASHES policy at JOULES has been formulated to meet the CASHES requirements of both our clients
and international standards. All operations shall be planned and executed in such a manner as to ensure that
the Health, Safety and Security of all our employees, Clients Representatives, Sub-Contractor personnel and
host community are safeguarded. This CASHES Policy takes into account environmental concerns,
investigation and maintenance of good relationships with the Principal Host Communities.
The implementation of this CASHES Policy is the responsibility of the Line Management. Employees have a
duty to take adequate care of their own safety and the safety of other workers who may be affected by their
activity.

The Implementation of the CASHES Policy therefore implies:
SHES is considered as a personal responsibility of all staff in the employment of JOULES Services
Limited.
Maximization of Loss Prevention or loss arising from accidents and the preservation of the integrity
and security of JOULES and Clients assets.
Maintaining good relationships with the Host Community, whilst ensuring sensitivity to the needs
and concerns of the Community.
Hazards associated with our activities are highlighted and safety measures to eliminate these are
effectively implemented.
The SHES Policy is made an inseparable part of our overall business management targets.
Statutory Regulations and obligations are obeyed.
Health, Safety and Security of our employees, Client personnel and members of the public who might
be affected by our activities are ensured at all times.
Environmental pollutions/ distortions are maximally reduced and very strong effort shall be made to
ensure return of the environment to its original state or near its original state where the former becomes
impracticable.

Therefore, JOULES and all her Sub-Contractors shall plan to perform their work in accordance with this
Policy. Any job, which in the opinion of an employee cannot be executed in accordance with this Policy, must

be suspended. He/ She must immediately report to his/her direct Supervisor who has the responsibility to
report to the Management, for resolution in accordance with this Policy.

human distress and financial loss resulting from accidental occurrences. Loss in productivity and property
