TASSO SAVVOPOULOS (*1980 composition, guitar)

Studied jazz guitar with John Etheridge, Phil Robson and Mike Outram as well as the
practice of improvisation with Chris Batchelor and Peter Townsend. Self taught in
composition, attended lectures by Karlheinz Stockhausen in Krten Germany. He is the
founder member of the IORI TRIO and works exclusively for this project residing in
Berlin.

PETER EHWALD (* 1979 composition, saxophone)
Peter Ehwald studied Saxophone at the music academies in Weimar and Kln, at the
Royal Academy of Music in London and at City College New York. He took lessons with
Claudius Valk, John Patitucci, Rich Perry, Mike Holober, Julian Argelles, Stan Sulzman
and Ian Ballemy. Rewarded with a prestigious DAAD scholarship he taught Jazz-
Combo and Big Band from 2007 to 2009 as a graduate assistant at the City College,
New York. His composition Alanis was performed at Carnegie Hall in spring 2007. Peter
is an intensely touring musician, who performs with many bands in countries like UK,
France, Poland, Spain, Finland, USA, Peru and Costa Rica.

DIMITRIS CHRISTIDES (*1980 Drums)

When he was eighteen he moved to England where he studied popular music at the
London College of Music. He learnt his craft with the help of Paul Elliot, Pete Zeldman,
Spyros Panagiotopoulos and Jojo Mayer. Dimitris Christides has been living and working
in Berlin since 2003. For three years he has taught in Drumschool Berlin. Since moving
to Berlin he has been performing and recording with countless projects and artists in
various styles of music: Bob Lennox, Hans Hartmann, Jesse Ballard, Ron Spielman, Ali
Keita, Abdourahmane Diop, Hub Hildenbrand, Ray Blue, Leon Gurvitch, Koulak Quartett,
Romenca trio and the Bukarester Tango Project.
