). *nce t%e demand drafts are issued by t%e 4Ec Section t%en move on to t%e ne6t ste2.

of 2erioidcals, t%e 2eriod of subscri2tion and t%e 8emand drafts to9ards t%e 2ayment of
t%e same are sent.
Recording details of su!scription in the s=, & periodical register
. *nce you receive t%e recei2ts 9it% t%e subscri2tion details t%en enter t%e same into t%e
res2ective 0eriodical muster and soft9are.
#. 5ill in all t%e details in t%e 2rescribed format Bcontact details, subscri2tion details, 2ayment
details etc.C
). Send t%e original co2y of t%e recei2t and maintain t%e *Ec co2y for t%e Library record
Preparing the schedule
Look into t%e 2revious yearHs 2eriodical muster and notice t%e 2attern of t%e sc%edule of t%e
arrival of eac% of t%e 2eriodicals.
4ccordingly 2re2are a mont%ly sc%edule for t%e 2eriodicals and enter t%e same 9it% 2rediction
date for t%e issues t%at are to be arriving accordingly,
Registering the periodicals in the register and the soft,are
7egistering a 2eriodical means on arrival of t%e issue making t%e note of t%e date of arrival
t%e issue no. t%e volume no. and ot%er details related to t%e issue in bot% t%e muster and t%e
soft9are.
Claims for missing issues
Claims can be made by emails, 2%one calls, or a formal letter on t%e letter %ead of t%e
institute

Care of IT infrastructure
It s%ould be observed t%at no user fiddles 9it% t%e I$ infrastructure in t%e Library
S2ecially in t%e E=library care s%ould be taken t%at no 3S! devices are used, no soft9are are
installed t%at may %ave virus and may in fact t%e mac%ine and cause t%e service to be closed.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness s%ould be maintained in all sections in t%e Library.
$%e 9ork distribution and 9ork sc%edule 2rovided for t%e su22ort s%ould be monitored and
s%ould see t%at t%ey %ave done t%eir +ob everyday and if need arises get it done again.
