EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
BACKGROUND
This report presents the details of the Study on the Investment & Portfolio Pattern at
The Oriental Insurance during the period 14
th
April to 28
th
May.
The purpose of the work was to study the investment methods, analyse the investment
portfolio and determinant factors .

SCOPE
The scope of the study is based on
Sector Based Investment
Diversified portfolio management
Return on the Different sectors
Regulations and Implications
Equity market fluctuations

This report however focuses on the understanding and allocation of funds in different
sector.
OBJECTIVE
Understand and study the investment market and evaluation of return on the investment
in different sectors.
METHODOLOGY & SAMPLING
Underwent a complete study based on the interaction with the company employees. The
department undergo a confined study about the investment and sector based on the
different criterias.

FINDINGS
Investment in different segment & to deal with risk associate
Forecasting and evaluating the return at different level of risk.
Management of surplus fund, which is proper allocation of fund in the decided
sector on the basis of market research carried out.
