clarifications and/or corrections are required before the issuance of your building permit.

Please incorporate all revisions within a complete plan set (two (2) sets minimum) for
the final approval.

Submit all revised documents, along with this Plan Check Correction List, identifying the
sheet number and/or detail of each corrected plan check item.

Plans will not be accepted unless these items are completed.

In the event a project requires two or more supplemental plan reviews, a plan review fee
of $168.00 per hour (with one-half hour minimum) will be collected from the applicant.

This correction list does not sanction the violation of any federal or state law, county or
city ordinance, nor any section of the 2013 California Model Codes.

Building Department

Provide on each sheet of resubmitted Plans and cover sheet of bound Calculations the preparers
name and telephone number and wet-signature. If the preparer is a licensed architect or engineer, all
documents prepared by that licensed individual shall also bear his/her stamp as prescribed by
California Business and Professions Code 5536. Please ensure re-submitted documents are
stamped and wet signed by the licensed professional.

to have retaining and a proper evaluation of drainage, water proofing, or egress need
to be evaluated.

e) The Media Room is a habitable room that must comply with the following:

1. Provide a natural light source within all habitable rooms of not less than
eight percent (8%) of the floor area. (CRC R303.1)

Exception 2: Where emergency escape and rescue openings are not required, provide
artificial light capable of producing an average illumination of 6 foot-candles (65 lux) over
the area of the room at a height of 30 inches above the floor level.


2. Provide natural ventilation within all habitable rooms by means of an opening
(windows, doors, louvers, etc.) to the outdoor air of not less than four percent
(4%) of the floor area. (CRC R303.1)

Exception 1: Where emergency escape and rescue openings are not required, and
whole-house mechanical ventilation is installed per the California Mechanical Code, the
glazing is not required to be openable. (Modified for 2013)

xii. Sheet 19 (Electrical Plan A)

a) Single Line Diagram:

1. The electrical designer or contractor (as specified on the plans) is required to
verify and sign the load calculation in plan check, not after permit issuance.

2. Electrical distribution. A review of the SLD reveals a number of proposed
subpanels for a 600A system. Provided that each panel is not undersized or
at capacity, the number of possible amperages exceed the rating of the
service panel. Reconcile.

3. Intersystem Bond. Identify the Intersystem Bonding Termination and
demonstrate compliance with California Electrical 250.94 (1) through (6).

Informational item: Locate intersystem bonding termination point at one of the
following: Meter socket enclosure, service equipment enclosure or grounding
electrode conductor

b) Load Calculations. Include the following:

1. Electric charging station
2. Whirlpool bathtub.

c) Whirlpool Bathtub( Hydro-massage Bathtubs):

Hydro-massage bathtubs and their associated electrical components shall be require
the following: (CEC 680.71)

(1) On an individual branch circuit(s) and protected by a readily accessible groundfault
circuit interrupter. (CEC 680.71)

(2) All 125v, single phase receptacles not exceeding 30A and located within 6 feet measured
horizontally of the inside walls of the tub shall be protected by GFCI. (CEC 680.71)

(3) Light fixtures, switches, receptacles, and other electrical equipment located in the same

room, and not directly associated with the tub shall be installed per Articles 1 through 4 in
this Code covering the installation of equipment within a bathroom. (CEC 680.72)

(4) All Hydro-massage bathtub electrical equipment shall be accessible without damaging
the building structure or building finish. Where the hydro-massage tub is a cord-and-plug
connected with a supply receptacle accessible only through a service access opening,
the receptacles shall be installed so that its face is within direct view and not more than 1
foot of the opening. (CEC 680.73)

(5) All metal piping systems and all grounded metal parts in contact with the circulating water
shall be bonded together using a solid copper bonding jumper, insulated, covered, or
bare, not smaller than 8AWG. (CEC 680.74)

(6) Provide U.L. or I.A.P.M.O. listing for hydro-massage bathtub.
