Conuar Combustibles Nucleares Argentinos Site in Spanish only. [Some English] CONUAR is
owned by the Comisin Nacional de Energa Atmica (CNEA/ Atomic Energy National Commission) with
33% stock shares and by the Perez Companc Group with 67% stock shares. The industrial plant, located at
Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, 35 km away from the City center, assembles fuel elements, and manufacture the
Uranium pellets - both natural and lowly enriched, the structural components and the zircaloy claddings
through our subsidiary FAE S.A.
Dioxitek S.A. Site in Spanish only. Dioxitek S.A. operates a uranium dioxide plant in Cordoba.
Brazil
Indstrias Nucleares do Brasil S.A. (INB) [English] INB is the company in charge of promoting in
Brazil uranium exploitation, from mining and primary processing up to its placement in the fuel elements
which activate nuclear power reactors in the plants.
Canada
Cameco Fuel Manufacturing Inc. (CFM) Formerly Zircatec Precision Industries Inc., Cameco Fuel
Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cameco, is one of two nuclear fuel manufacturers in
Canada. With a capacity to produce 1,200 tonnes of uranium annually as finished fuel, the company
operates a licensed fuel manufacturing facility at Port Hope and a specialty metal fabrication plant at
Cobourg ten kilometers away. It is the largest Canadian-based supplier of reactor components to Candu
operators and is also a supplier of specialized metals and fabrication services.
France
AREVA Originated by the merger of all CEA-Industrie, COGEMA, FRAMATOME ANP and FCI operations,
the AREVA group supplies solutions for power generation. In the nuclear sector, AREVA provides services
for every aspect of power generation from uranium mining to decommissioning.
Germany
Advanced Nuclear Fuels, GmbH (ANF) Site in German only. [Some English] Advanced Nuclear Fuels
GmbH (ANF) is a wholly owned subsidiary of AREVA NP. It is headquartered in Lingen, Germany, and has
plants in Duisburg and Charles Stein.
India
Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad (NFC) Nuclear Fuel Complex caters to the fuel and Zirconium
requirements of the Nuclear Power Program in India.
Japan
Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. Site in Japanese only. [Some English] Primarily an oil and petrochemical
company, Itdemitsu Kosan has a 8% interest in Cigar Lake Project.
Japan Nuclear Cycle Development Institute (JNC) Site in Japanese only. [Some English] JNC was
formed in-October 1998; its mission is to perform the development of the advanced technology required
to establish the complete nuclear fuel cycle. Key projects include: the fast breeder reactor (FBR),
advanced reprocessing, plutonium fuel fabrication, and the disposal of high-level radioactive waste.
Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd. (MNF) [English] MNF is in the light water reactor fuel fabrication
business.
Nuclear Fuel Industries, Ltd. (NFI) Site in Japanese only. [Some English] NFI is a company jointly
formed in July 1972 by the Furukawa Electric Company, Ltd. and Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. The
parent companies transferred to NFI all of their facilities, technology and personnel in their nuclear fuel
operations. NFI has developed its own technology over the years, also applying technology introduced
from abroad, to become an integrated nuclear fuel manufacturer independent of any reactor vendor.
Kazakhstan
Ulba Metallurgical Plant Site in Russian only. [Some English] This company is the largest facility in
CIS for fabrication of nuclear fuel for power plants. It also produces hydrofluroic acid, other materials, and
is approved for the production of products from uranium compounds including reprocessed uranium for
nuclear reactors and power plants and processing of different uranium compounds to produce products of
different degree of readiness.
Korea, South
Korea Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd. (KNFC) [English] KNFC is Korea's sole nuclear fuel company. It has self-
reliant manufacturing technology for PWR and PHWR fuels.
Netherlands

Russia
JSC Chepetsky Mechanical Plant (JSC CMP) [English] Chepetsky Mechanical Plant is a joint stock
company belonging to TVEL Corporation the part of Nuclear Power Federal Agency. The Plant is
located in Glazov, the town which is situated in the north part of Udmurt Republic. It ranks one of the
leading positions among the world producers of zirconium and zirconium alloy products.
Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation Site in Russian only. [Some English] Rosatom Nuclear
Energy State Corporation (Rosatom), is a State Corporation in Russia and the regulatory body of the
Russian nuclear complex
TVEL Corporation [English] Russian nuclear fuel producer. The Corporation includes large Russian
enterprises dealing with natural uranium mining, fuel fabrication, scientific and engineering support of
nuclear fuel operation at NPPs of Russia and 13 foreign countries. Among them there are all Russias
uranium miners, including Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Production Association (#5 in the world).
Spain
ENUSA Industrias Avanzadas, S.A. (ENUSA) [English] ENUSA is engaged in activities related to the
first part of the nuclear fuel cycle. These consist fundamentally of: management of enriched uranium
supplies for Spanish nuclear power plants; production of uranium concentrates a residual production
activity complementary to the closing-down works of its Mining Centre at Saelices-Ciudad Rodrigo
(Salamanca); manufacturing of PWR and BWR fuel elements, as well as the engineering associated to
this activity, and other services related to nuclear power stations. At present, ENUSA has direct supply
contracts with the nuclear power stations of Almaraz I and II, Asc I and II, Vandells II and Jos Cabrera
(Zorita).

MOX Fuel Fabrication In 1999, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) signed a contract
with a consortium, now called Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLC to design, build, and operate a Mixed
Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility. This facility will be a major component in the United States
program to dispose of surplus weapon-grade plutonium.
