Timber Acoustic Solutions
Overview
The ultimate renewable material for architecture is also
one of the oldest, and most attractive. Wood is solid,
can be bent and shaped, is easily machined, and with
the used of computer-aided-design and CNC milling,
timber is also continuously contemporary.
These benefts make wood our preferred material to
use for room acoustics solutions.
Either with fre retardant chemical impregnation
treatment, or fre lacquer, we can provide Class 1 BS
476: Part 7 C and Class 0 BS 476: Part 6 & 7 B.
Samples available on request. Project specifc shop
drawings are usually provided upon specifcation. We
also have a considerable range of standard details.
Sustainable Solid timber, veneers and MDF sourced
from FSC certifed forests.
Carbon of-setting Timber replaces other energy
intensive materials.
Waste reduction modular constructions minimise on-
site cutting and reduce waste.
Production requires minimal energy use. When contacting Stil Acoustics, expect to be assisted
by a member of the Institute of Acoustics, not a sales
person without any formal education in the subject.
We encourage you to contact us with any ideas which you
dont see in our standard range. We can ofer completely
bespoke solutions, as well as more straightforward
additions to the existing range to integrate the panels
and solutions.

Timber Acoustic Solutions - Overview
We can tailor specifcations to meet performance,
aesthetic and budget requirements, and as mentioned,
this includes providing shop drawings in DWG or PDF to
integrate with the rest of the design.
Specifcation
Great looking slatted timber systems for ceilings and walls
which provide high sound absorption.
Woodft Fine-Line slatted systems are available for both
ceilings and walls. They are modular constructions, and
provide sound absorption with a distinct linear pattern
in solid timber slats. Many customisation options are
available for fnish and slat sizes, and we make access
panel and lighting openings in the factory.
For further detail and specifcation information, please
see product brochure or contact us.
As well as having standard ranges, we of
customisation of timber species, slat size and
lacquer fnish.
We provide the expertise in acoustics, joinery
and fre performance to make this a viable
option, which not only meets all functional and
aesthetic requirements, but enables a reliable
and efcient installation.

Timber Acoustic Solutions - Overview
We produce modular
systems which allow for
fast, precise installation
on site. Any cutouts for
lights, or otherwise unique
panels are produced in the
factory, and fnished the
same as the rest, again
improving installation
times and quality.
Shop drawings are usually
provided which included
signed of details and
instructions for where
each panel should go.
Modular construction
Timber Acoustic Solutions - Overview
Linear panels provide a durable sound
absorbing fnish for walls and ceilings. Typically
installed on to battens in a tongue and groove
fashion, this creates creating a seamless
fnish with the grooves running vertically or
horizontally. For ceilings, the same approach
can be taken with a suspended system or our
ceiling tile version is used, for easy removal and
to conceal a standard grid system. Acoustic
rafts can be designed and supplied in kit form
for fast installation.
As well as the panels, we can also provide all
trims and accessories to integrate the system
perfectly.
Most panels pictured feature the most popular model,
Linear 12. The number relates to the millimetre width of
the slats on the face of the panel and other models
include Linear 8, 9, 18, 24, 28 and 45.
Please bear in mind that the wider the slats, the lower
the acoustic performance, particularly in the high
frequencies.
For further detail and specifcation information, please
see product brochure or contact us.
