Hello everyone,
Well another summer has come and gone. It was an awesome summer at Maccripine. This year we had great participation in our
summer events. Thank you to all our participants in our annual parent-child and adult scramble held on J uly 4th. Our Four Man
Blind Draw was another huge success again this year. I would like to congratulate our J r. Golf team for finishing runner up in our
division of the Eastern North Carolina J r Golf League. By finishing second in the regular season our team qualified for the League
finals that were held at Bradford Creek. Our team finished third in that tournament. We also had individuals that won trophies in
their respective age groups for their regular season efforts. They were as follows, Nate Webb, Leaton White, and Leah Hob-
good. Other members of the team were Nathan Sholar, Matthew J ones, J ack Coltrane, Cole J effreys, Kelly Cook, Joseph Cook and
J ae - Li Minner.
We have only a few more events left on our calendar for 2014. On September 6, we will have a parent-child glow ball tourna-
ment. The cost is $40 per team and includes cart fees and a pizza dinner before play. We will start at approximately 8:15pm. Sep-
tember 13-14 we have our Club Championship. We have divisions for men, women, seniors, and super seniors. Entry fee is $50.00
per player and includes carts both days, lunch both days and prizes. The weekend of October 4-5 we will be having our annual
Member-Guest & Member-Member tournament. Entry fee is $160.00 for Member-Guest team and $180 Member-Member team and
includes cart fees both days, lunch both days, beverages on course, and prizes. Our last event for the year is our annual Two Man

Hello Everyone!
We hope that all of you have had a safe, relaxing summer. School is starting which means the pool season is winding down. The
pool will remain open daily through September 1st. It will also be open the weekends of September 6th & 7th and September 13th
& 14th. We would like to thank all of our lifeguards, Whitley Wilson, Amanda Minner, Stephen Sharpe, Matthew Masney, for en-
suring a safe pool environment this season. Also, thank you to Kendall Strickland for his hard work in keeping the pool area clean
and running smoothly on a daily basis. As we say goodbye to our summer help, Dawson Gould, Tonia Summerlin, Taylor Webb,
Nate Webb, Andrew Peaden, Matthew Peaden, and Tommie Tolson, we wish them all the best in their studies and look forwarding
to seeing them next year.
Golf events for the next two month include the Club Championship in September and the Member/Member, Member/Guest in Octo-
ber. Dont forget that by bringing a guest you will save $20.00 off the entry fee. We are always happy to see new faces.
Fall is the best time to come out and enjoy the golf course. The weather is cooling down and the fairways and rough will have
plenty of plush grass to hit from and the greens will start speeding up to perfection.
As always, we extend a warm welcome to our new members. We look forward to seeing all of you.

Sincerely,
Mark & Martica Hartley

POOL NEWS

The guest fee is $8 per person. This money helps operating ex-
penses and is indeed very important to the club. Please make sure
that guest fees are paid. If you see someone that hasn't paid, please
bring it to my attention or the lifeguard's. Also keep us in mind
regarding your next party or event.

If you would like to rent the pool for any occasion, please feel free
to call my cell at 919-946-5888. I will try to accommodate any re-
quest to make your party or event a great experience!

We will be serving hot dogs, chips, drinks and baked beans on
Labor day from 11-2. The cost will be $5 per person.
"The pool will be open regular schedule through Labor day and
on Saturdays and Sunday's the 6/7th and 13/14th. If an adult
would like to swim at their own risk during those two weeks after
Labor day, they are able to do so at their own risk with no life-
guards in duty. If you have any questions, call me at 919- 946-
5888.
We are getting some new chairs next year to accommodate our
growth. Thank you for helping us do that. Also, look for other
improvements as well for next summer.
See you all at the pool! Kendall
