INTRODUCTION

Purpose of the practice;

In this course the purpose is changing of our theorical knowledge to practice.

the aim of second year practice is teaching how to be a qualified engineer, doing and
learning something in a strict and real area. On the other words ME 200 summer practice is
teaching the life for the engineers.

Another purpose is interview to engineers and learn important things from them and to
examine machines and real working area, to see life of engineers closer because of we will do
same things after two years later.

To speak and see engineers working friends who are technicians.The most imporant thing
is thinking as an engineer so a person can obtain it if he or she moves with them.

In summer practice I was in EMRE MAKNA, there is information about EMRE
MAKNA This is included that the structures of the organization, number of the engineers,
the number of the technical workers and etc. and also having information about the working
places, encountering experiences, manufacturing types and which types of machines are
included, also how can we operate machines, and layout of the material on the machine, costs
of the products, and informations like these about the factory.

Scope of engineering practice;

1-Foundary work
2-Welding and heat treatment , hot working of metals
3-Chip removing operations on the machines, such as ; Lathe ,Grinding ,Milling and
Drilling machines.
4-Press work
5-Special purpose machines
