IN GENERAL: Who can apply


for a special visa?
A qualified non-immigrant foreigner
who shall actually employ at least ten (10)
Filipinos who shall employ them in a lawful
and sustainable enterprise, trade or industry
 A retiree who applies for a Special Resident
Retiree Visa (SRRV) has the option to enroll to
the program based from his retirement status
 A foreigner who shall invest in the Philippines
 A student enrolled in the long term in the
Philippines

EXAMPLE: The holder of a SSRV kind of


special visa may reside in the Philippines
without securing extensions of his stay from
the Bureau of Immigration.

Who can apply for a Special


Resident Retiree Visa?


Special Resident Retiree Visa (SRRV) has the option to enroll


to the program based from his retirement status


1. With Pension - 50 years old and above - the required time


deposit is US$10,000.00 plus a monthly pension of US$800.00 for a
single applicant and US$1,000 for couple.

3. A resident retiree can bring with him, without


additional deposit, his spouse and child who is
unmarried and below 21 years old or if the spouse
is not joining, two(2) children (provided they are
unmarried and under 21 years of age.) Additional
children with the same qualifications may also be
allowed to join the principal retiree provided there
is an additional deposit of US$15,000.00 per child.
The said time deposit however, is subject the same
and conditions with that of the principal deposit.
This does not apply to former Filipino Citizens.

Certification by PRA shortlisted bank of the requisite deposit

35 to 49 years old - US$50,000.00 time deposit


50 years old and above - US$20,000.00 time deposit
Former Filipino Citizens (at least 35 years old, regardless of the
number of dependents - US$1,500.00)
Ambassadors of Foreign Countries who served and retired in the
Philippines, current and former staff members of international
organizations including ADB (at least 50 years old) - US$1,500.00

Are SRRV holders exempted from Travel Tax?


PRA members who are holders of valid SRRV are exempted
from paying travel tax provided they have not stayed in the
Philippines for more than one year from the date of last entry
into the country.
Can SRRV holder own real property in the Philippines?
No. If he or she is legally married to a Philippine citizen, he or
she may construct a residential unit on a parcel of land
owned and/or registered in the name of Philippine spouse.
Natural-born former Filipinos whose SRRV has been issued may
own/acquire a maximum area of 5,000 square meters of
urban land and three (3) hectares of agricultural land.
Where do I get the approval of the SRRV?
The approval of your application will come from the Bureau
of Immigration. The pre-evaluation of the application is made
by the Philippine Retirement Authority where applications are
filed.

GENERATION (SVEG)
Who can apply?
A qualified non-immigrant foreigner who
shall actually, directly, exclusively employ at
least ten (10) Filipinos in a lawful and
sustainable enterprise, trade or industry
 Not a risk to national security
 Must be continually satisfied every year

Pay the required fees.


Submit copy of Official Receipt.
 Attend hearing. Please refer to the Official
Receipt for the schedule and venue of the
hearing and Image and Fingerprint
Capturing.
 Proceed to Image and Fingerprint Capturing
Counter of the Alien Registration Division
(ARD) and submit requirements for ACR ICard application
 Check website if visa application is already
approved.
 If approved, submit passport for visa
implementation.
 If ACR I-Card is approved, claim ACR I-Card.

SPECIAL VISA FOR


EMPLOYMENT GENERATION
APPLICATION PROCESS
Secure the CGAF from either at the Public
Information and Assistance Unit (PIAU) at BI
G/F Main Office or from the official BI Website.
 Submit the documents for pre-screening to
the Central Receiving Unit (CRU) or to the
frontline officer or staff of other Immigration
Offices able to process this transaction.
 Get the Order of Payment Slip (OPS).


REQUIREMENTS








Notarized letter request that contains


(i) he/she undertakes the generation of at least
ten (ten) full time Filipino workers on a regular basis
(ii) in case of rehabilitation, that his/her investment
intended for rehabilitation of a business activity,
investment, enterprise or industry enabled the
retention of at least (10) Filipino workers
(iii) that all documents submitted in support of the
application were legally obtained from

WHAT IS IT?
 The Special Investor's Resident Visa (SIRV)
entitles the holder to reside in the
Philippines for an indefinite period as long
as the required qualifications and
investments are maintained.

Duly-accomplished and notarized application form, with recent


photographs;
Clearance from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA),
together with either a clearance from the central government agency
of the applicant's country or place of residence, competent to give
information about any criminal record that the applicant may have,
duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy, or the Interpol Division of
the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) indicating that the applicant
has not been convicted by final judgment of a crime involving moral
turpitude.
Any derogatory record may be the basis for revocation of the SIRV
holder's visa. The expiration date of said clearances should not be earlier
than six (6) months from date of filing of application;

entitled to import used household goods
and personal effects tax and duty-free as
an alien coming to settle in the Philippines
for the first time

SIRV REQUIREMENTS






Medical certificate
Certification under oath from the duly-authorized officers of any
accredited depository bank in the Philippines as to the amount of
foreign exchange inwardly remitted by applicant, and its conversion to
pesos through the said bank, in the prescribed form.;
Certified true copy of the certificate of peso time deposit with a maturity
period of at least thirty (30) days. The original copy of the certificate of
time deposit shall remain with the depository bank for safe-keeping;
Birth certificate/family registry/household registry duly authenticated by
the Philippine Consulate/Embassy located in the applicant's home
country or the applicant's embassy in the Philippines;
If spouse and dependent children are included in the application,
marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine
Consulate/Embassy located in the applicant's home country or by the
applicant's Embassy in the Philippines;
Original passport of the applicant; and
