ACFT inbound to Vitoria AD are to establish radio contact with TWR, request clearance to enter the
CTR (D), maintaining MAX 1000' SFC and report position when reaching the reporting points N, E, S
or W.
Departures:
Pilot will inform about the DEP REP and will report TWR when leaving CTR (D), in constant monitoring
while staying within CTR.
The Final APCH Areas will never be crossed without permission from TWR.

Ground Movement
ACFT must be ready for taxiing within the next 5 MIN to the approved start-up time, otherwise pilots will contact
ATC.
Collision avoidance with other ACFT or OBST is responsibility of pilots, when taxiing in the apron.
Pilots will proceed to verify at every moment the ACFT position, checking that taxiing is being executed under total
safety conditions. In case of being disoriented or in doubt, pilots will stop the ACFT and immediately notify TWR.
Whenever a departing ACFT needs to return to the apron, the pilot will inform TWR and wait for new taxiing
instructions.
Arrivals
ACFT, that have already landed:
- will notify RWY vacated and TWY used;
- will wait for taxiing instructions from TWR.
At apron entry, they must wait for arrival of a "Follow-me" vehicle in order to be guided to the assigned stand.
Departures RWY 12/30
From North Apron
ACFT will exit via TWYs A1, A2 or B, taxiing along TWY segments T4, T3 and/or T2, T1 and C1, as appropriate, to
the taxi holding position of RWY 30. From there, direct to RWY 30 for TKOF.
From South Apron
ACFT will leave apron via TWY D3 and continue through TWY D1 up to RWY 12 taxi holding position. From there,
direct to RWY 12 and will make a complete back-track to RWY 30.
Communication Failure
Whenever an ACFT or vehicle operating in the manoeuvring area experiences a communication failure:
- Departing ACFT will continue by the assigned route to its clearance limit, taking extreme caution to avoid devia-
tions. Once that point has been reached, must maintain the position and wait for the arrival of a "Follow-me"
vehicle in order to be guided to the stand.
- Vehicle will remain in its present position and wait for arrival of a "Follow-me" vehicle.

ACFT taking off and landing when the Hendaya beach has to be overflown, should make the flight
pattern as westward and as high as possible, and in any case not below 350'.

Radio Failure: ACFT shall enter CTR (D) via S REP maintaining MAX 1000' SFC. ACFT must keep clear of
AD ciruit traffic, hold to the S of AD (Monte San Marcial / Irn) in sight of TWR, waiting for light signals.
The AD circling over Hendaya (France) is restricted to special situations. Overflying at 1000' or above is
only permitted.

Taxiing Procedures
Guiadance service only AVBL under request.
ACFT shall not leave the stand without the TWR clearance to occupy RWY.
A general aviation ACFT, must stop the engines at the indicated point before entering the General Aviation Area,
and then be towed to the stand.
To exit from the stand, ACFT must be towed as far as the beginning of TWY centreline marking, and then start up
the engines.
ACFT parked at the stand nr 15 in the General Aviation Area must be anchored.
ACFT when use TWY to access to the General Aviation Area, located in front of the Fire fighter service, at the lev-
eled strip, at outbound and inbound, is occupying RWY.

General
Whenever IFR traffic notification exists within FIZ or is estimated to entry/exit, entry into FIZ Area 2 is
prohibited for VFR flights, access/vacate FIZ Area 1 via established REPs and routes at MAX ALT.
VFR traffic shall not enter Final APCH Area, when there is IFR traffic notification within FIZ, or when entry into
it is estimated.
MAX ALT 500' SFC for Route W - AD within FIZ, when IFR traffic notification within FIZ exists or entry into it is
planned. In other cases MAX ALT 1000' SFC.
Arrivals
ACFT with destination for Huesca (Pirineos) shall proceed via REPs N, S, E or W and notify intentions to AFIS
before reaching REPs and enter FIZ Area 1 following the established routes to join the southern AD traffic cir-
cuit. Without AFIS service, shall notify at Air/Air freq.
Departures
Outbound traffic intending to leave FIZ shall proceed via REPs N, S, E or W and shall notify intentions to AFIS,
informing of DEP route and REP to be used. Without AFIS service, shall notify at Air/Air freq.
RWY Restrictions
TKOF from the intersection of RWY 30L/12R with TWY A is not allowed.
TKOF from the intersection of RWY 30R/12L with TWY A is not allowed.
The operations in RWY 12L/30R are not allowed for:
- ACFT with tail skid;
- ACFT with main gear higher than 2.6m;
- ACFT operating as school flights.
HEL Operations
Huesca AD has not defined any specific area for HEL operations.
Air and ground taxiing are allowed. Air movement is not permitted.
HEL larger than AS32 prohibited.
Final APCH/TKOF
Final APCH and TKOF operations will be carried out from RWY 12R/30L, and following the same procedures
that the fixed-wing ACFT follow.
Taxiing
It will be carried out via TWY A following AFIS information, or transmitting position and instructions on Air/Air
freq when AFIS is not AVBL.
Apron Taxiing
Air and ground taxiing will be carried out to stand, via the TWY following the alignment markings.
Taxiing Restrictions
ACFT taxiing via TWY B must hold on the intermediate holding position when there are refuelling ACFT.
Taxiing to access Hangar 1 and Hangar 2 is restricted to:
- ACFT type DA40 and DA42;
- ACFT with max train width 2.6m;
- Other ACFT, prior study.

Radio failure:
ACFT wit COM failure shall enter in the CTR extremely complying with visual flight rules. They will
follow the corridors shown and use the holdings, without crossing the RWY, maintaining in sight of
TWR and making turns expecting light signals while avoiding any possible traffic in the traffic circuit.
HEL air taxi between RWY and stands will be made on SE of TWY A and parallel to it.
During TWR op hrs:
Take contact with TWR before entering/until leaving CTR, maintaining. 1000' SFC MAX. On ARR request
clearance and report position over VFR points. On DEP notify TWR about VFR point to be used after TKOF.
TWR FREQ will be used for COM between pilots considering as FREQ NO ATS (appropriate by the
separation of other ACFT). Before arriving to the ATZ will monitor on Barcelona APP and will not
call unless necessary.

General VFR Procedures
Arrivals
Contact TWR at REPs N or E. Follow TWR instructions till joining the appropriate traffic circuit.
After LDG ACFT have to leave the RWY as soon as possible and avoid stopping at the intersection of rapid exit
TWY with the other TWY in course to the parking.
Departures
RWY 13: After TKOF climb on RWY heading until reaching motorway A7, then:
- with north, northeast and east direction: turn left on 069 heading to village Mollet del Valls;
- with southwest, west, northwest and north direction: turn right to 219 heading to village Sant Cugat del Valls
(without overflying Ciutat Bada), turning to 179 heading towards Tibidabo to leave ATZ south of REP W on a
284 heading as depicted on 19-1. Avoid overflying villages Cerdanyola and Sant Cugat del Valls.
RWY 31: After TKOF and at safety altitude, turn right to follow motorway C-58 (avoid overflying Sant Quirze) to
REP NE (Mossos), then:
- with north, northeast, east direction: turn right to 039^ heading to leave ATZ;
- with west and southwest direction: turn left to 239 heading to leave ATZ north of REP W at MNM 1500' SFC.
Taxi Procedures
Start-up of Engines
Fixed-wing ACFT with flight plan with flight rules Z and all HEL, request start-up to aerodrome ATC service.
Ground Movement
All surface movements of any ACFT type, towed ACFT, personnel and vehicles on the manoeuvering area are
subject to previous aerodrome ATC clearance. It is the pilots responsibility to avoid collisions with other ACFT or
obstacles. HEL shall move on movement area along TWYs, following the TWY centre line guidance markings.
Taxiing Restrictions
TWY segments T-1, T-2 and T-3 of TWY T are limited to ACFT with 12m maximum wingspan. Taxiways Y-1, Z-3, Z-4,
Z-5 and Z-6 are limited to ACFT with a maximum wingspan of 17m.
Standard Taxiing Routes for Fixed-Wing ACFT
- Departures RWY 13 from Apron R-1:
If holding positions T-1A or T-1B are vacant, ACFT will incorporate to TWY T and taxi to the vacant holding
position. If both of them are vacant, taxi to holding position T-1A.
- Departures RWY 13 from Apron R-2:
If holding positions T-1A or T-1B are vacant, ACFT will incorporate to TWY T and taxi to the vacant holding
position. If both of them are vacant, taxi to holding position T-1A.
If both holding points are taken, ACFT will taxi to intermediate holding position T-2.
- Departures RWY 13 from Apron R-3:
ACFT will incorporate to TWY N and taxi along TWY N or E to holding position M-1.
- Departures RWY 31 from Apron R-1 or R-2:
ACFT will incorporate to TWY T and taxi to holding position T-6.
- Departures RWY 31 from Apron R-3:
ACFT will incorporate to TWY N and taxi along TWY E to holding position E-7.
Restrictions to Parking Positions
Parking of fixed-wing ACFT is forbidden on Apron R-1 every third Sun of each month from 0730 to 1300 UTC.
Radar Display System
The use of surveillance radar in the provision of Aerodrome Control Service in Sabadell control TWR, is authorised
to perform the following functions, as established in the Reglamento de Circulacin Area in force:
- radar monitoring of ACFT on final APCH;
- radar monitoring of other ACFT in the vicinity of AD;
- establishing radar separation between successive departing ACFT and
- providing monitoring assistance to VFR flights.

HEL Procedures
Arrivals
VFR HEL will establish radio contact with TWR before entering the ATZ and will proceed from the village of
Castellar del Valls or from Montcada to point W, avoiding overflying cities.
From there, they will proceed bordering Bellaterra on 049^ or 069^ heading, depending on the RWY in use and
maintaining 500' SFC.
Departures
HEL will TKOF from the TWY in the same direction as the RWY in use until reaching 500' SFC.
- RWY 13: turn right to proceed on 249^ heading to REP W. From there, leave the ATZ or proceed to
Castellar del Valls or to Montcada, avoiding approaching ACFT to leave the ATZ.
- RWY 31: turn left to proceed on 229^ heading to REP W at 1000' SFC. From there, leave the ATZ or
proceed to Castellar del Valls or to Montcada, avoiding approaching ACFT, to leave the ATZ.
Taxi Procedures
Standard Taxiing Routes for HEL
- Departures RWY 13 from Apron R-1:
If TWYs T-1, T-1A and T-1B are vacant, ACFT will incorporate to TWY T-1 or T-1B according to its parking
position and will taxi to holding position T-1B.
If TWYs T-1, T-1A or T-1B re taken:
- For positions where TWYs between its parking position and the TWY B are vacant, ACFT will incorporate to
TWY T-1 or T-1B according its parking position and will taxi to the holding position of TWY B for TKOF from that
junction.
- For the rest of positions ACFT will wait instructions from ATC aerodrome service.
- Departures RWY 31 from Apron R-1:
ACFT will incorporate to TWY T-1 or T-1B according its parking position and will taxi to holding position of
TWY B for TKOF from that junction.
- Departure from Apron R-3:
ACFT will incorporate to TWY Z-5 or Z-7 and will taxi following route Z, Y-1, W-1 and C to holding position of
TWY C.
- Arrivals to Apron R-1:
ACFT will vacate RWY via TWY B and will incorporate to TWYs T-1 and T-1B, to TWY of access to parking
position.
- Arrivals to Apron R-3:
ACFT will vacate RWY via TWY C and will taxi following C, W-1, Y-1 and Z-5 or Z-7 to TWY of access to
parking position.
Parking of HEL
On Apron R-1 HEL will park according to the parking position alignment bar marking, except when according to
pilots judgement the HEL rear end is very close to the apron surface, in which case it may be positioned in the
opposite sense of the alignment bar.
For departure from parking position a compulsory 180 aerial turn in stationary flight shall be made when the HEL
is parked according to the parking position alignment bar marking and will leave the parking position via its access
TWY.
On Apron R-3 HEL will access the parking position via its access TWY, shall make a compulsory 180 aerial turn in
stationary flight and will be parked according to the alignment bar marking.
Restrictions to Parking Positions
HEL with a different model than one assigned to parking position 102 will not take up this parking position unless
the rest of Apron R-1 parking positions appropriate to its model are taken.

RWY 29: RH circuit.

ACFT in apron will notify the stand and frequency out.
ACFT bound for Asturias AD will establish contact with TWR when reaching the REPs N, E2, S2, S3 or
W2 requesting clearance to enter the CTR (D) maintaining MAX 1000' SFC.
Before entering the CTR (D) position must be reported.
In some cases ACFT will be instructed to hold at REPs N, E1, SE, SW or W1 before a clearance
to enter the CTR (D) is granted.
Arrivals
Pilots must verify the ACFTs position at all times, especially at intersections checking that taxiing is
being executed under safe conditions. In the event disoriented or in doubt, pilots must stop the ACFT,
notify ATC and request assistance of Follow-me.
ACFT will proceed to assigned stands 1, 2 and 3 and will leave apron via gate 'A', stands 4, 5, 6 and 7
via gate 'B', EXC by ATC specific instructions.

COM Failure
ACFT with COM failure must enter the CTR (D) via the N or SW routes shown on 19-1 maintaining
1000' SFC or below. They must hold N or S of AD in sight of TWR, expecting light signals and avoiding
any possible traffic in the AD traffic circuit.

Final Approach Areas shall never be crossed without prior permission from TWR.
Landing ACFT surpassing TWY exits 'A2' and 'A3' must taxi to RWY end to leave by A4 or A1, being

Operation of Mode S Transponder when ACFT is on the Ground
In order to cooperate with the Mode-S based Advanced Surveillance System, ACFT operators intending to use AD
shall ensure that Mode S Transponder are able to operate when ACFT is on the ground.
Pilots shall:
Select AUTO Mode and assigned Mode A code.
If AUTO Mode is not AVBL, select ON (i. e. XPDR) and assigned Mode A code:
- From request for push back or taxi, whichever is earlier.
- After LDG, continuously until ACFT is fully parked on stand.
- When fully parked on stand, select STBY.
Whenever ACFT is capable of reporting ACFT Identification (i. e. call-sign used in flight), the ACFTs identification
should also be entered (through the FMS or the Transponder Control Panel) from the request for push back or taxi,
whichever is earlier. Air crew must use the ICAO defined format for entry of ACFT identification.
To ensure that the performance of systems based on SSR frequencies (including airborne TCAS units and SSR
radars) is not compromised, TCAS should not be selected before receiving the clearance to line up. It should then
be deselected after vacating RWY.
For ACFT taxiing without flight plan, Mode A code 1000 should be selected.
