INDUSTRIAL TRAINEES
CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Punctuality
Always report to your department fve minutes before the scheduled time in
Uniform and leave the department after receiving due permission from the
concerned department Manager / Incharge
2. Smoking
!mo"ing is not permitted for Industrial #rainees anywhere in the hotel If found
doing so$ their training is liable to be terminated
3. Loud Language
!pea" softly and only when re%uired to Abusive language will not be tolerated
and if found doing so$ strict action would be ta"en against him / her also
amounting to termination of training
4. Damage to Hotel Property
Any damage caused to &otel property will be deducted from the trainee's
stipend / compensated by the #rainee
5. Safety
!afety is of paramount importance$ any accident or a near miss due to
negligence will be viewed very seriously
6. Handling Euipment
(%uipment handling / operations / cleaning is not to be done by the trainee
unless the trainee has been specifcally trained for that purpose and that too it
should be done with the written permission of the concerned &)* #he hotel
will not be held responsible for any accident due to careless handling
!. Line of "ommand
Any change in training schedule can only be made by the #raining *epartment
+lease forward to the #raining *epartment all such changes re%uested by
concerned departments ,or any special re%uirement permission has to be
sought from the #raining *epartment
#. $ip% & 'ift%
!haring of tips is the prerogative of regular sta- If you are given a tip
surrender it to the Area Incharge$ you are sure to receive their gratitude
!hould you receive a gift$ chec" with the #raining *epartment for authori.ation
to accept it

/efer to 0elcom!tyle !tandards and ensure excellent grooming throughout your
training

#elephone lines are for o1cial use only Use of telephones for personal
purposes is only permitted in case of emergencies

11. Ele+ator%
,ront (levators are for 2uest use$ you may use !ervice (levators only ,or two
3oors up and three 3oors down use stairs
12. Entry & E,it
4ou will enter and exit only from the time o1ce gate
13. 'ue%t -rea%
2uest areas are for guests$ you should not be found in these areas unless your
training schedule warrants it
14. Per%onal .i%itor%
+ersonal visitors are discouraged unless incase of an emergency +lease "eep
your personal appointments outside the hotel after your duty hours
15. /oreign E,c*ange
/eceiving foreign exchange is prohibited as per law +olitely decline all such
o-ers and bring it to the notice of your *epartment Incharge to handle it
16. "on0dential 1nformation
5onfdential information is to be "ept to yourself 6e cautious of such
information being passed out

*o not carry your report papers / personal boo"s to the hotel Any such +aper /
,loppies / 5*s etc will be confscated

Access to computers is only for authori.ed personnel and for o1cial purposes
only

,orms/,ormats/6rochures are not to be ta"en out unless duly authori.ed by the
concerned &)* and the #raining *epartment

6usiness transactions are restricted to those connected with your duties Any
transaction of a personal nature will be viewed seriously

7otify the training department of any change in personal information

+ublic facilities are meant for the guest Use of facilities li"e , 8 6 )utlets$
&ealth 5lub etc is not permitted
23. Lo%t & /ound
Articles found in the hotel premises are to be deposited with the (xecutive
&ouse"eeper

24. 6%e of 7o5ile P*one is permitted in the 9oc"er room only$ Use of Mobile
+hones is prohibited$ if found doing so the same would be confscated and strict
action would be ta"en against the individual *o not "eep your mobile phone on
in other areas
25. Lea+e Procedure
All leaves must be sanctioned by the area incharge where you are training and
counter signed by #raining Manager / (xecutive 9eave applications can be
ta"en from #raining *epartment Missing from wor" without proper sanction will
be viewed very seriously
26. 6niform
All trainees should always be in prescribed uniform as per the letter of training
issued to you

Any trainee found under the in3uence of alcohol or any other intoxicating
agents while on duty will be dealt with severely
2#. -ccident : #he trainee shall be careful while at duty and he shall solely be
responsible for any accident at wor" due to negligence or otherwise and the
hotel shall not be responsible or liable for any uncalled for incident
2(. Hone%ty
&onest is the best policy Any trainee found to be defrauding the company will
be dealt with severely
3). 4unking 3 marking ;on< duty 8*ile in actual not 5eing pre%ent
Any trainee found to be mar"ing him / herself present while being absconding
from wor" will be dealt with severely
31. Hou%e 2ule%
All trainees are covered under the house rules of the hotel
32. -ny 4e*a+iour bringing disrespect or willful damage / loss to the hotel will
warrant severe action
33. -ttendance= $rainee% 8ould need to maintain ()> attendance at
all time%9 failing 8*ic* t*eir $raining 8ould 5e con%idered a%
incomplete and 8ould not recei+e t*e "erti0cate for t*e %ame.
