Attendant Robot For Elderly Service Using Sensor Network System
Abstract
Robots and robotic systems are increasingly being used in various office sectors today. The project
aims at designing a robot that can move on a predefined path when asked to transfer materials from
one place to another such as banks and industries.
In places such as banks and industries lots of materials are transferred from one place to another.
For example in banks one has to transport materials like files and challans and cheques from an
officer table to manager and so on. In such places instead of employing a person for that job, one
can simply employ a robot that takes the items to a specified place whenever necessary without any
human intervention.
The movement of the robot is autonomous, that is it can locate its position and travel on a stored
path. No one is needed to control the robot. This enables easy transfer of items and in places like
industries the robot can also move in harsh environments so any material anywhere can be taken.
The robot is controlled by a three wheel drive system with two high torque motors for multiple
directional movements. This enables all direction movement of robot. Further switches are provided
upon the robot itself for navigation and they are used as the input to select the destination place.


Existing System
1. In the Existing system manpower is involved in transferring files and other materials from
one place to another.
2. Due to some confusion wrong files may reach the person.

Proposed System
1. In the proposed system Robots are employed in industries for doing specific applications.
2. The movement of the robot is autonomous, that is it can locate its position and travel on a
stored path.
