ABOUT

Teach For India is a nationwide movement that aims to bridge the educational gap in India by placing
outstanding college graduates and young professionals in low-income schools to teach full-time for 2
years. The organization's mission is to build the movement of leaders who will eliminate inequity in
education. Hence, Teach For India's Fellows are provided with intensive training and support throughout
the two years, and are supported to enter the corporate, public and social sectors after their Fellowship
so that they become life-long leaders, across sectors, advocating for educational equity.

RECRUITMENT
Teach For India is looking for applicants who will be leaders in the classroom and beyond. We recognize
that leaders come in many forms with varied past experiences, so there is no one profile of an ideal
applicant. There are many ways to demonstrate leadership qualities, and we view applicants holistically
by looking for evidence of demonstrated past achievement: achieving ambitious, measurable results in
academics, extra-curricular activities, and/or work leadership.
The Teach For India Fellowship is a highly selective program. In the last 5 years, we have selected
approximately 7% of our applicants as Fellows. For the 2014 Fellowship, we are looking for the best
and brightest minds of this country to teach our children in the cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Pune,
Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
