Team Leader and Technical Advisor -- U S WEST (now CenturyLink) Defined Benefit Pension Plan. Manager of
administration for defined benefit pension plans, responsible for technical leadership, project management and Client
liaison for telecom covering 14 state areas with 12 billion dollar pension trust (now Qwest).
As Team Leader, supervised 15 Benefit Administrators responsible for the administration and calculation of
retirement benefits for population of 55,000 active participants and 50,000 retirees.
Implemented two temporary call centers for Benefit Statements and IRC Sec. 420 Transfer for U S West.
As Technical Advisor, provided plan technical training to Customer Service Reps and Benefit Administrators for
new retirement call center. Responsible for user testing and definition of system enhancements.
Project manager for several special initiatives, including: Benefit Statements, GATT interest rate changes and
large pension calculation projects (layoff of 2,000 employees).
