Introduction

Pakwann Restaurant started in the year 2012 on 28
th
March under partnership. There
are two partners, one who was interested in this business PAVAN SIMIKERI and
other just wanted to continue with his family business ANAND AGARWAL. It is
situated in 19
th
Cross, College Road, Vidyagiri, and Bagalkot. Here all activities are
carried out manually. And it provides service like TAKE AWAY MENU AND
MITHAI DA ADDA .And it is striving for the best and fast service.
1] Identify the type of production system followed?
Meaning of Job Shop Production System?
Job shops are typically small manufacturing systems that handle job production, that
is, custom/bespoke or semi-custom/bespoke manufacturing processes such as small to
medium-size customer orders or batch jobs. Job shops typically move on to different
jobs (possibly with different customers) when each job is completed. In job shops
machines are aggregated in shops by the nature of skills and
technological processes involved, each shop therefore may contain different
machines, which gives this production system processing flexibility, since jobs are not
necessarily constrained to a single machine
In Pakwann they adopted job shop production system. Because of the depending on
the customer needs them preparing the foods.
2] Check how production system managed?
They are managing the production system as follows,









Estimate food consumption, place orders with suppliers, and schedule delivery
of fresh food and beverages.
Maintain relationships with customers and staff.
Schedule work hours for servers and kitchen staff.
Monitor and oversee purchases, menus, staff, and payroll.
Make decisions and solve problems concerning menus and staff.
3] Find out the utilization of resources namely manpower, capacity and
material?
The pakwan is making its proper utilization of all the available resources.
They are having total employees including the management people, working
staffs, around 10.
DMS consists the detail of bills, and a token machine.

4] How the customer service is rendered (feedback system exits or not)?
In pakwan there is no feedback system
5] The locational factors considered for establishing the enterprise?
The location means where firm set up their operation is simply called as
locations.
Layout means arrangement of machinery, equipment, and other industrial
facilities such as receiving and shipping departments, tools rooms for the
purpose of achieving the quickest and smoothest production at the least coast.

6] What are the strategies adopted for identifying the location?
