1. Cette instruction ne modifie ni ne
remplace le manuel d'exercice militaire A-PD-
201-000/PT-000 ainsi que le livre de
cérémonial de la Région Est. Elle est une
distincte à l’élément aviation et conçue pour la
planification et l’organisation des cérémonies
d’escadrons de cadets de l’air.
2. Cette instruction prend effet dès
réception et remplace le manuel intérimaire
publié en 2003.
3. Le commandant de l’Unité régionale de
soutien aux cadets (Est) est l'autorité exclusive
pour modifier le contenu de cette publication.
Toute suggestion de changement devra être
acheminée par les voies hiérarchiques au BRP
l’OEM2 Aviation.

OBJECT
1. This directive does not modified nor
replaced the drill manual A-PD-201-000/
PT-000 and the Regional Manual of
Ceremonial. It is specific for aviation
component and conceived for planning and
organization of Air Cadets squadrons
ceremonials.
2. This directive takes effect upon receipt
and replaces the interim manual published in
2003.
3. The Commanding Officer of the
Regional Cadet Support Unit is the exclusive
authority to modify this publication. Every
suggestion for changes must be submitted thru
the chain of command to the SO2 Air.

Introduction
TERMINOLOGIE
1. Dans le présent manuel, les verbes
"devra" et "devront", "est" et "sont" s'enten-
dent comme une obligation et les verbes "peut"
ou "peuvent", comme une autorisation.
2. Le terme "officier" désigne toute per-
sonne détenant un brevet d’officier. Le terme
"cadet" s’applique à toute personne depuis le
cadet jusqu’à l’adj1.
3. Le terme "cadet-cadre" est utilisé pour
désigner les cadets à l’emploi d’un camp d’été.
Il ne doit pas être utilisé à l’escadron. On utili-
sera le terme "sous-officier" pour décrire tous
les cadets gradés et le terme "sous-officier se-
nior" pour tous les cadets du grade de sergent et
plus.
4. Les commandants des escadrons de-
vront utiliser les termes désignant leur organi-
sation, ainsi que les grades et les titres propres à
leur élément.
5. Dans le présent manuel, le masculin
englobe le féminin.
6. Le nom de la position n’est pas nécessai-
rement le grade détenu par le cadet occupant la
position.
7. Le qualificatif "officier de revue" sera
utilisé pour désigner l'invité d'honneur qui prési-
dera la cérémonie de l’ escadron.
SYMBOLES
1. La figure 1 illustre les symboles réservés
aux affectations et utilisés dans le présent ma-
nuel.

TERMINOLOGY
1. In this manual, "shall", "will",
"is" and "are" are to be construed as imperative,
and “may” as permissive.
2. The term "Officer" includes all person-
nel holding a commissioned rank. The term
"cadet" denotes personnel from the cadet up to
and including WO1.
3. The term "Staff Cadet" includes all
cadets under employment at a summer camp. It
shall no be used at squadron. Term "Non Com-
missioned Officer (NCO)" will be used for all
ranked cadets and " Senior Non Commissioned
Officer (Senior NCO)" for all ranked sergeant
above.
4. The Squadron Commanding Officer
shall use the correct term for their organisation
and the rank and titles for their own element.
5. Throughout this manual, words sup-
porting masculine gender include the feminine
one.
6. The name of the appointment is not nec-
essarily the rank held by the cadet holding the
appointment.
7. The description "Reviewing Officer"
will be used to designate the guest of honour
who presides at the squadron ceremony.
