EB Reflection Paper

Though our interviewee was somehow a successful person, I believe that the trait that stands up
the most is his humility. He does not boast nor show off his life stance at the moment. He knows how to
look back to those who helped him to be in his position today. Also, being a student athlete before, I
believe that he knows how to be a student athlete very well. Taking up an engineering course and being
part of a football team is very hard. Thus, this shows his potential in being a well-rounded person.

A Lasallian achiever for God and Country should be passionate. I believe that someone who is
passionate in what he is doing will always be an achiever for God and country no matter where he/she
came from. From the interview, I believe that he showed competence and passion for everything that he
do. For example, being a varsity player does not stop in being a good athlete. Being a good varsity player
comes with the responsibilities of being good student. From the interview, I believe that he was able to
undergo hardships with regards to balancing everything during his college life. Being a well-rounded
person, shows traits of an achiever for God and country. In addition, in his current life, he shows his
skills in his field. He still acknowledges that he does not know everything which shows that he is a
versatile person which can adapt to changes and new knowledge presented to him. You dont need to
be a perfect person to be a Lasallian Achiever for God and Country, but rather you need to be the best
person you can be in every way possible to show that you do everything for god and our country.

As a Civil Engineering student, I believe that the best way to be a Lasallian achiever for God and
country is by being honest in every way possible. As heard from the news, DPWH or the sector in the
government mostly handled by civil engineers is one of the most corrupt sectors in the Philippines. They
hire out contractors who will work for them and overprice the projects. In order to help the Philippines, I
believe that being able to say no temptations is a baby step. I believe that I need to stand up for what is
right, what is fair and what everyone can benefit from. Again, I do not need to be perfect in order to be
a Lasallian achiever, I just need to be able to show the true values of a Lasallian to be a real achiever in
life.
