PREFACE

All students undertaking professional course like MBA should
experience a practical exposure to the working environment of
corporate organization so that they tackle any business
problem in the near future. With this end in view, the student
of Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science &
Technology, Sonarpur are assigned to undergo two months
summer training to reputed organization and thereafter
prepare a project on the assigned topic with proper
recommendation and suggestion
The title of my project is Brand Positioning for ABUS
Security Tech Germany. The report is prepared based on
survey conducted the summer project. The project was done
for Abus security locks.
The report gives information about the satisfaction level of
customers with regards to product of Abus security locks.

BRAND POSITNING
At first we should understand that Brand and Positioning is two things
and when it comes together what it means you will get in our research.
Brand means name, sign or symbol used to identify items or services of
the seller (s) and to differentiate them from goods or services of
competitors.
Positioning starts with a product. A piece of merchandise, a service, a
company, an institution or a person.
What is Brand Management?
Brand Management is the art of marketing and most distinctive skill of
professional marketing.

OPENING CEREMONY OF SECURITY ESSEN 2014: PIONEERING
PRODUCTS DISTINGUISHED
A prizeworthy evening: During the opening ceremony of security essen in
the evening before the premier global fair for security and fire protection
technology, pioneering products were distinguished with the security
innovation award.
At the start of the evening, Essen's Mayor Rudolf Jelinek greeted the invited
guests. In his welcoming address, Uwe Bartmann, Chairman of the Advisory
Board for the Fair and Manager for Building Technologies in Germany at
Siemens AG, congratulated security essen on its 40th anniversary. Dr.
Gnther Krings, Parliamentary Undersecretary of State to the Federal Minister
of the Interior, dealt with the challenges facing the security sector.
The compere for the evening was Rudi Cerne, presenter of the "Aktenzeichen
xy" television programme. Together with Rudolf Jelinek (Mayor of the City of
Essen), Hermann Feuerlein (Jury Chairman) and Ulrich Bogdahn (Official
Manager at Feuerwehr Essen - "Essen Fire Service"), he handed over the
security innovation award.
In the Technology & Products category, Slzer GmbH (Marburg, Germany)
received the Gold Award for the multifunctional security door called Secufire.
Silver went to KiwiSecurity Software GmbH (Vienna, Austria) for the
KiwiVision Privacy Protector, a video surveillance system with a protected
private sphere. Raytec Ltd. (Ashington, Northumberland, Great Britain)
received the Bronze Award for the outdoor lighting designated as Vario IP
PoE.
In the Services category, Lock Your World GmbH & Co. KG (Bad Orb,
Germany) was distinguished with Gold for the locking and authorisation
concept called pyware anywhere. it kompetenz GmbH (Hamburg, Germany)
received the security essen Innovation Award in Silver for the mobile data
transmission system designated as CashEDI unterwegs.
In the Fire Protection category, the Award in Gold went to JOB GmbH
(Ahrensburg, Germany) for the miniature extinguishing system called E Bulb.
The mark of distinction in Silver was won by KEVOX (Bochum, Germany) for
its KEVOX management system for preventive fire protection. The Bronze
Award was won by Siemens AG (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) for the
FDA241 and FDA221 intake smoke detectors.
This year, the security innovation award aroused particularly great interest:
Messe Essen received 95 applications with innovations which can be seen at
the premier global fair. A twelve-strong expert jury under the proven
leadership of Hermann Feuerlein (longstanding Vice-Chairman and Honorary
Member of Bundesverband unabhngiger deutscher Sicherheitsberater und
Ingenieure e.V. - BdSI - "Federal Association of Independent German
Security Consultants and Engineers") assessed the submissions in matters
relating to innovation contents, exclusivity characteristics and user benefits.

Gold: Slzer GmbH, Marburg, Germany
Product: Multifunctional Security Door Called Secufire
The multifunctional security door called Secufire constitutes the
world's first and, as yet, only fully glazed tubular frame door which has
an escape route function (anti-panic) and unites the inhibition of
burglary and shooting-through as well as full fire protection suitability
in itself - and this in an appealing optical design. Until now, at least two
complete door structures had to be combined with each other in a
complicated way if all these properties and functions were needed.

Product: KiwiVision Privacy Protector
With the PrivacyProtector, person-related image data in surveillance
videos is automatically distorted in real time by pixelling faces or
people. However, all the movements remain visible and the actions
recognisable in this case. According to the jury's statement of reasons,
PrivacyProtector is the only known product which, to a particular
extent, is suitable for safeguarding the personal rights of people in the
detection ranges of video cameras. On the one hand, the public's trust
in security measures can be promoted in this way. On the other hand,
the targeted utilisation of Privacy Protector can contribute to
deterrents and damage prevention in endangered areas. Furthermore,
PrivacyProtector can even be integrated into already existing systems.
Bronze: Raytec Ltd., Ashington, Northumberland, Great Britain
Product: Vario IP PoE
The Vario IP PoE is the world's first and, as yet, only outdoor lighting
which is oriented, in particular, to very precise night utilisation for video
surveillance installations, works without its own 230 V electricity mains
and considerably increases the fail-safe reliability of connected security
systems. The system is extremely energy-saving and, because of the
processor controller and the corresponding interfaces, offers the
possibilities of remote and computer control. Moreover, the use of
Vario IP PoE leads to further drastic cost reductions because there is no
need for a 230 V electricity supply or thus for the entire electricity
cabling either.

The Pylocx locking system which was already distinguished with the
Bronze Security Essen Innovation Award in the Products category two
years ago forms the basis for a comprehensive locking and
authorisation concept without any physical connection to the utilisation
location. Almost everything can be equipped with this flexible
electronic admission and access protection - not only buildings, rooms,
containers, tanks and cases but also vehicles or aeroplanes. One
particular highlight is the allocation of one-off codes if an authorised
person sends a request to a control room. Similar to the I Tan
procedure in online banking, this code is calculated and allocated

Product: CashEDI unterwegs
CashEDI unterwegs permits the mobile provision of CashEDI deposit
notices at Bundesbank ("Federal Bank") for money transport
companies, directly from the vehicle by means of mobile data
transmission. The utilisation of this product served to create a system
which incorporates the newest, mobile scanner and printer technology,
is independent of other IT modules and satisfies all the requirements of
Bundesbank (this is confirmed by Bundesbank's certification). It is thus
possible to transport the notified money directly to Bundesbank -
without the previously necessary detour via a money processing centre.
Therefore, costs are saved due to the shorter transport routes and thus
to the elimination of travel and personnel costs, the loading and
unloading expenses as well as the entire processing logistics. In addition
to the cost advantage, shorter travel routes reduce the physical and
psychological risks for the money transporters and, in particular, their
employees.

FIRE PROTECTION CATEGORY

Product: E Bulb
E Bulb is a miniature extinguishing system which can be installed in any
electrical appliance - no matter whether a computer, a television set or
a tumble dryer. If the electronics of the appliance overheat or a fire
starts, it is capable of releasing an extinguishing agent in the appliance
and, at the same time, of interrupting the supply of any further
electricity. To a particular extent, it is thus suitable for preventing fires
caused by technical defects (which, after all, make up a substantial
proportion of all fires) and for saving a considerable scope of human
lives and tangible values.

KEVOX is a comprehensive management system for preventive fire
protection which is available in a mobile form on a tablet PC. Thus,
people responsible for fire protection at companies and authorities can
administer, document and communicate all the preventive fire
protection tasks in a contemporary, simple, uncomplicated and legally
assured way. In addition to clearly arranged component administration,
it encompasses (amongst other items) the entire reporting system, all
the fire protection regulations, the scheduling, the risk assessment, the
photographic documentation and the maintenance management. With
this system, all the tasks can be performed directly in situ during the
inspections on foot. Processes (particularly the elimination of
shortcomings and risks) can be accelerated considerably in this way.

Product: FDA241 and FDA221 Intake Smoke Detectors
Due to a new and dual evaluation procedure, this new generation of
intake smoke detectors is better at distinguishing between genuine
smoke and misleading disturbance variables such as dust and steam.
Thus, it is possible to achieve a minimal false alarm rate which is so low
that Siemens is even giving a false alarm guarantee for this product.
This guarantee also extends to the refunding of the costs of the fire
service in the event of any false alarms which are triggered by this
product. Consequently, the product is suitable for avoiding any
erroneous deployments of the fire service and thus for conserving
resources which are needed for genuine deployments and saving
human lives.

3.1 Objective:- Introduce the concept and practice of brand
positioning practice of brand positioning.
Explain that positioning involves the creation of meaning and that
meaning is a constructive process involving the use of signs and
symbols.
Give details above how brand marketers position their brands by
drawing meaning from the culturally constructed word.
Describe how brand are positioned in terms of various types of
benefits and attributes.
Explicate two perspective that characterize how consumers process
information and describe the relevance of each perspective for brand
positioning.

3.2 Scope:- Why Branding Today?

Trust is essential in the corporate world.
People want to do business with and hire or promote people they know
and feel good about ..
There has been change in what a traditional career path look like.
People today change careers an average of 8 times during
their lives
Branding can be consistent through the changes (ex. Hard
work and creativity can flow through to different
occupations)
There is also a change in the way people communicate.
Electronic communication doesnt allow personality to
show.(Compared to face-to-face communication)
Your first interview might be over the phone or your first
communication with a potential employer could be over e-
mail.
This type of communication could make it difficult to
express yourself.
Branding makes you more memorable (think about how the
swoosh or golden arches stand out in your memory) in the midst
of the different type of communication.
If you can get an employer to associate positive traits with
your application or communication, you will likely rise to
the top of the applicant pool.

3.3 Limitation :
The survey of the selected area in Baguiati. The respondent
person in these area is un cooperative.
If there is an appointment then the person is not present at the
particular place or said that I have lots of work to go on.
The duration of the study was very short so it is not possible to do
more in depth research and to across a perfect solution.


Chapter :- 4 Research Methodology
A research process consists of stage or steps that guide the
project from its conception the final analysis, recommendations and
ultimate actions. The research process provides a systematic, planned
approach to the research project are consistent with each other.
Research studies evolve through a series of steps, each representing
the answer to key question.

4.1. Research Design
In this study the research design is descriptive cross sectional as it is a
one short study at a given point of time. This study will try to find out
an in depth analysis of the Abus locks.
4.2 Sources of data
In this study both primary and secondary data are used. Primary data
was collected through filling the questionnaire as a part of my daily job
the organization asked me to visit sites such as Baguiati. The secondary
data was collected from Internet.

4.3 Sampling Technique
In this research I did so much of study on Abus locks as well as whole
industries by doing so I got these efficiencies. That the sampling
technique used is judgmental sampling.


4.4 Sample Size
The sample size 100 has been selected for the purpose of my research,
The sample size is selected from the Baguiati.
4.5 Tools and Techniques of Study
The analysis of the study is done by using MS-Word, MS-Excel and some
manual & logical formulas.
4.6 Research Area
For the purpose of satisfying the objective of the study:
My research area is Baguiati , to collect the data from the different
brand MOTOR BIKE SHOP customers, organizer and managers.

6.1 Finding
At the complete of the project with Abus security tech dealing
with the product name Buffo305 which is a Motor cycle disc brake
lock product is in a beginning stage, the people have different
view about the product.
Awareness of the product is less need some awareness in the
mind of the consumer.
The peoples have a problem with the price of the Buffo305(Motor
cycle disc brake lock) is having slightly a higher price.
Still the people are not thinking about Buffo305(Motor cycle disc
brake lock) they use other local brand product.

6.2 Recommendation
Arranging some campaign for Buffo305(Motor cycle disc brake
lock) to create awareness among the customer.
Mass media is also another source of creating awareness.



Chapter: - 7 CONCLUSIONS
Awareness of the product is less need some awareness in the mind of
the consumer.
Product price is slightly higher if price of the product is reasonable
then it will very much helpful to the customer and they con afford it.
The benefit of this product is the quality very good but mass media
awareness is needed for the product.
