BRAND POSITNING At first we should understand that Brand and Positioning is two things and when it comes together what it means you will get in our research. Step 2: Service Assessment Positioning is not what you do to a product. Positioning is what you do to the mind of the prospect. Positioning is how you differentiate yourself in the the mind of your prospect.

Chapter:-2 company profile
History Abus security tech Innovative security solutions from ABUS. Since 1924. When August Bremicker and his sons first started up their own business producing padlocks in the small village of Volmarstein, Germany back in 1924, they would have found it difficult to believe that one day their slogan would work its way around the world. The business, which started out in the cellar of their family home, has blossomed into a corporate group with global operations. Tireless efforts, innovative ideas, expertise and know-how in development, production and sales are what makes this family business which is managed according to Christian principles the success it is four generations later. For more than 85 years, ABUS security solutions have been produced at three different locations in Germany in line with the motto 'Security built on quality', and have proven their worth throughout the globe a million times over. Recent studies by leading market research institutes show that ABUS has been able to further expand its already well-recognised brand and is still the market leader by a long shot when it comes to home and mobile security solutions. For more information on the brand's history, go to the brand museum.
Since 1924 ABUS provides the good feeling of security worldwide. The year in Review OPENING CEREMONY OF SECURITY ESSEN 2014: PIONEERING PRODUCTS DISTINGUISHED A prizeworthy evening: During the opening ceremony of security essen in the evening before the premier global fair for security and fire protection technology, pioneering products were distinguished with the security innovation award. At the start of the evening, Essen's Mayor Rudolf Jelinek greeted the invited guests. In his welcoming address, Uwe Bartmann, Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Fair and Manager for Building Technologies in Germany at Siemens AG, congratulated security essen on its 40th anniversary. Dr. Gnther Krings, Parliamentary Undersecretary of State to the Federal Minister of the Interior, dealt with the challenges facing the security sector. The compere for the evening was Rudi Cerne, presenter of the "Aktenzeichen xy" television programme. Together with Rudolf Jelinek (Mayor of the City of Essen), Hermann Feuerlein (Jury Chairman) and Ulrich Bogdahn (Official Manager at Feuerwehr Essen - "Essen Fire Service"), he handed over the security innovation award. In the Technology & Products category, Slzer GmbH (Marburg, Germany) received the Gold Award for the multifunctional security door called Secufire. Silver went to KiwiSecurity Software GmbH (Vienna, Austria) for the KiwiVision Privacy Protector, a video surveillance system with a protected private sphere. Raytec Ltd. (Ashington, Northumberland, Great Britain) received the Bronze Award for the outdoor lighting designated as Vario IP PoE. In the Services category, Lock Your World GmbH & Co. KG (Bad Orb, Germany) was distinguished with Gold for the locking and authorisation concept called pyware anywhere. it kompetenz GmbH (Hamburg, Germany) received the security essen Innovation Award in Silver for the mobile data transmission system designated as CashEDI unterwegs. In the Fire Protection category, the Award in Gold went to JOB GmbH (Ahrensburg, Germany) for the miniature extinguishing system called E Bulb. The mark of distinction in Silver was won by KEVOX (Bochum, Germany) for its KEVOX management system for preventive fire protection. The Bronze Award was won by Siemens AG (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) for the FDA241 and FDA221 intake smoke detectors. This year, the security innovation award aroused particularly great interest: Messe Essen received 95 applications with innovations which can be seen at the premier global fair. A twelve-strong expert jury under the proven leadership of Hermann Feuerlein (longstanding Vice-Chairman and Honorary Member of Bundesverband unabhngiger deutscher Sicherheitsberater und Ingenieure e.V. - BdSI - "Federal Association of Independent German Security Consultants and Engineers") assessed the submissions in matters relating to innovation contents, exclusivity characteristics and user benefits.
.
TECHNOLOGY & PRODUCTS CATEGORY Gold: Slzer GmbH, Marburg, Germany Product: Multifunctional Security Door Called Secufire The multifunctional security door called Secufire constitutes the world's first and, as yet, only fully glazed tubular frame door which has an escape route function (anti-panic) and unites the inhibition of burglary and shooting-through as well as full fire protection suitability in itself - and this in an appealing optical design. Until now, at least two complete door structures had to be combined with each other in a complicated way if all these properties and functions were needed. Silver: KiwiSecurity Software GmbH, Vienna, Austria Product: KiwiVision Privacy Protector With the PrivacyProtector, person-related image data in surveillance videos is automatically distorted in real time by pixelling faces or people. However, all the movements remain visible and the actions recognisable in this case. According to the jury's statement of reasons, PrivacyProtector is the only known product which, to a particular extent, is suitable for safeguarding the personal rights of people in the detection ranges of video cameras. On the one hand, the public's trust in security measures can be promoted in this way. On the other hand, the targeted utilisation of Privacy Protector can contribute to deterrents and damage prevention in endangered areas. Furthermore, PrivacyProtector can even be integrated into already existing systems. Bronze: Raytec Ltd., Ashington, Northumberland, Great Britain Product: Vario IP PoE The Vario IP PoE is the world's first and, as yet, only outdoor lighting which is oriented, in particular, to very precise night utilisation for video surveillance installations, works without its own 230 V electricity mains and considerably increases the fail-safe reliability of connected security systems. The system is extremely energy-saving and, because of the processor controller and the corresponding interfaces, offers the possibilities of remote and computer control. Moreover, the use of Vario IP PoE leads to further drastic cost reductions because there is no need for a 230 V electricity supply or thus for the entire electricity cabling either. SERVICES CATEGORY Gold: Lock Your World GmbH & Co. KG, Bad Orb, Germany Product: pyware anywhere The Pylocx locking system which was already distinguished with the Bronze Security Essen Innovation Award in the Products category two years ago forms the basis for a comprehensive locking and authorisation concept without any physical connection to the utilisation location. Almost everything can be equipped with this flexible electronic admission and access protection - not only buildings, rooms, containers, tanks and cases but also vehicles or aeroplanes. One particular highlight is the allocation of one-off codes if an authorised person sends a request to a control room. Similar to the I Tan procedure in online banking, this code is calculated and allocated without any data connection between the control rooSilver: it kompetenz GmbH, Hamburg, Germany Product: CashEDI unterwegs CashEDI unterwegs permits the mobile provision of CashEDI deposit notices at Bundesbank ("Federal Bank") for money transport companies, directly from the vehicle by means of mobile data transmission. The utilisation of this product served to create a system which incorporates the newest, mobile scanner and printer technology, is independent of other IT modules and satisfies all the requirements of Bundesbank (this is confirmed by Bundesbank's certification). It is thus possible to transport the notified money directly to Bundesbank - without the previously necessary detour via a money processing centre. Therefore, costs are saved due to the shorter transport routes and thus to the elimination of travel and personnel costs, the loading and unloading expenses as well as the entire processing logistics. In addition to the cost advantage, shorter travel routes reduce the physical and psychological risks for the money transporters and, in particular, their employees. m and the locking system. FIRE PROTECTION CATEGORY Gold: JOB GmbH, Ahrensburg, Germany Product: E Bulb E Bulb is a miniature extinguishing system which can be installed in any electrical appliance - no matter whether a computer, a television set or a tumble dryer. If the electronics of the appliance overheat or a fire starts, it is capable of releasing an extinguishing agent in the appliance and, at the same time, of interrupting the supply of any further electricity. To a particular extent, it is thus suitable for preventing fires caused by technical defects (which, after all, make up a substantial proportion of all fires) and for saving a considerable scope of human lives and tangible values. Silver: KEVOX, Bochum, Germany Product: KEVOX KEVOX is a comprehensive management system for preventive fire protection which is available in a mobile form on a tablet PC. Thus, people responsible for fire protection at companies and authorities can administer, document and communicate all the preventive fire protection tasks in a contemporary, simple, uncomplicated and legally assured way. In addition to clearly arranged component administration, it encompasses (amongst other items) the entire reporting system, all the fire protection regulations, the scheduling, the risk assessment, the photographic documentation and the maintenance management. With this system, all the tasks can be performed directly in situ during the inspections on foot. Processes (particularly the elimination of shortcomings and risks) can be accelerated considerably in this way. Bronze: Siemens AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany Product: FDA241 and FDA221 Intake Smoke Detectors Due to a new and dual evaluation procedure, this new generation of intake smoke detectors is better at distinguishing between genuine smoke and misleading disturbance variables such as dust and steam. Thus, it is possible to achieve a minimal false alarm rate which is so low that Siemens is even giving a false alarm guarantee for this product. This guarantee also extends to the refunding of the costs of the fire service in the event of any false alarms which are triggered by this product. Consequently, the product is suitable for avoiding any erroneous deployments of the fire service and thus for conserving resources which are needed for genuine deployments and saving human lives. EXHIBITORS' OPINION SECURITY ESSEN 2014 Uwe Bartmann, Manager of the Building Technologies Division, Siemens, Germany "We congratulate Messe Essen on a successful 21st Security and on the 40th anniversary. As the premier fair, it has once again proven that it is 'the place to be' for players on the national and international security markets. We are pleased about four successful and well-visited days on our fair booth. Our booth team has shown a wide public how we can support companies in protecting people and values - so that they can go about their core business in a totally carefree way." Peter Nicholls, Overseas Exhibition Co-ordinator, BSIA, Great Britain "The British Security Industry Association has been represented at every Security Essen since 1992. And on the basis of this long experience, I can say: The premier global fair has become even more international this year. We are primarily interested in the markets in the Middle East and Asia and have reached our customers in Essen very well. The 20 companies on the British cooperative booth are all very satisfied with the number and quality of the visitors. Immediately after the end of the fair, we will make the booking for 2016 once again." Walther Slzer, Managing Director, Slzer GmbH "As a specialist for mechanical security technology, we have missed hardly any edition of Security Essen. At the premier global fair, we reach precisely our customers, above all from Europe, the Middle East, Australia and the USA. In 2014 as well, we are very satisfied with the volume of visitors to the booth. Winning the Security Innovation Award in Gold has assured us worldwide interest in our multifunctional security door called Secufire. Actually, Security Essen has once more considerably raised its internationality which was already high in any case. It is also conspicuous that decision takers approached us with very concrete investment projects this year." Lavonne Lazarus, Director Business Development, Aventura Technologies, Inc., USA "This is our first Essen show and our first impression is we should have been doing this the last 15 years. Aventura is a manufacturer and solution provider to government, military and enterprise around the world. We knew Essen was the largest security show in the world but were surprised by the unmatched geographical diversity of its attendees as compared to the myriad of other shows we attend globally." Manuela Engel-Dahan, Managing Director, Lock Your World GmbH & Co. KG "The appearance at Security Essen has been a must for us since the firm was founded in 2006. You can feel the significance of the fair as the world's largest barometer of the security sector. With the Security Innovation Award 2014 in Gold and the Bronze Award in 2012 for our locking and authorisation systems called pylocx and pyware anywhere, we are registering an enormous increase in interested people this year. The distribution inquiries extend from other European countries to as far away as India and we have already had concrete business transactions. Therefore, we are more than satisfied with the course of the fair." Gert van Iperen, President, Bosch Security Systems "Security Essen 2014 was once again a great success for us. Under the motto of 'Maximize connected security - Intelligent solutions from Bosch', we presented innovative, networked solutions in the field of security, safety and communications areas. Of particular interest for customers, industry experts and journalists were IP video solutions (such as the new 4K ultra-HD camera), our IP-based connection of fire alarm and evacuation installations as well as our brand-new remote service platform named EffiLink." Paolo Venaca, Business Manager, MICRONTEL, Italy "We are represented at Security Essen for the first time and the success of our appearance has surpassed our expectations by far. We have established a lot of new contacts and have thus paved our way to the Scandinavian market and the Benelux countries. In 2016, we will definitely extend our appearance at the premier global fair in Essen even further." Peter Hohl, Managing Director, SecuMedia Verlags GmbH "We have registered satisfied exhibitors and visitors in the IT Theme Park in Hall 5. Over 50 exhibitors all around the integrated open forum showed possibilities of protecting yourself against cyber attacks and data losses. The federal association called 'Alliance for Security in Industry and Commerce' (ASW), the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and the domestic intelligence authorities showed that they were highly satisfied with the contacts. Even now, there are already promises for the next Security - in part, with twice the area." Yuriy Bukhtiyarov, CEO, VIT, Ukraine "Security Essen is unsurpassed as the most important platform in the security sector. Here, product managers come into contact with technologists in order to exchange opinions about the newest developments. The orientation is very international. Therefore, we had the pleasure of also greeting customers from Africa and Australia on our booth. In 2016, we will definitely be involved once again." Michael Bruer, Marketing Director, ABUS "90 years of ABUS and 40 years of Security Essen. Also in the anniversary year of two security experts, we are extremely satisfied with our appearance at the fair. For example, 120 employees from all four companies in the ABUS group were once again able to show our international guests an extensive portfolio of innovations on 550 square metres - from mechatronic security solutions via video surveillance technology right up to digital access control systems. The feedback from our partners shows that we are offering products which are appropriate for the market and stand for a secure future with ABUS." Herbert Mat, Head of the Business Solutions Management Department, EVVA Sicherheitstechnologie GmbH, Austria: "We are looking at a very successful Security Essen 2014. The fair is an international meeting place for the sector. Every two years, it gives us the unique opportunities to inform our customers such as architects and planners about our innovative access systems as well as to win over new business partners. The visitors largely came from Central Europe but from Japan, Australia and Russia too." Tobias Tobinski, Sales Manager, KEVOX "Innovation means progress. As this year's prize winner in the Fire Protection category, we would like to thank an excellent jury for this mark of distinction. We have often been approached about the award and will use it for our marketing purposes. The atmosphere at Security Essen 2014 and the quality of the discussions were outstanding." Bodo Mller, General Manager & CEO, Job Lizenz GmbH & Co.KG "For us, Security Essen is an unparalleled success story this year. On Monday, we were already distinguished with the Security Innovation Award in Gold. We were very pleased about that because we had selected the premier global fair in Essen as the platform in order to introduce our miniature extinguishing system called E-Bulb to the public. Winning the award in the Fire Protection category has assured us enormous attention - even in Russia and the USA. And we are confident that the mass of interested people will result in a large number of contacts with which we will be able to put an application into effect." Bernhard Sommer, Managing Director, SimonsVoss Technologies "Security Essen offers a unique opportunity to gain an overview of the security sector. Although the fair is located at the heart of Germany, it is definitely the premier global fair. For us as a company with worldwide orientation, the very high internationality is crucial for our international growth efforts. At Messe Essen, we have shown the innovative highlights of our considerably extended range - including cloud-based solutions for managing locking systems, our furniture locking system as well as solutions relating to all aspects of the MobileKey subject. We also received positive feedback with regard to our new series of SmartIntego products - the solution for customers who want to integrate a digital access system into their building management system." Werner Wagner, Founder and Managing Director, WAGNER Group GmbH "For us, Security Essen is one of the most important platforms in order to introduce our innovations and to establish international contacts for our expansive orientation. Our new booth which has a very open and, at the same time, dynamic design and a central communication area attracted a lot of interested people. At times, there was a veritable onrush of guests on our booth. The highlights from WAGNER were in the field of fire avoidance and early fire recognition. In particular, TITANUS MULTISENS, our newest innovation in the field of fire detection, met with a very positive reaction. A technology which recognises what is burning produces a veritable aha effect from a lot of visitors." Gerrit Lling, Marketing Director, Burg-Wchter "'Home of Security', that was our fair motto - for the first time, all the members of the Burg-Wchter family were under one roof! Due to the new location in the Galeria, we had a strong inflow of visitors. Our expectations have been surpassed here. In particular, our innovation in the field of the 'Secu Entry' access controller is providing an enthusiastic reaction. We are pleased about substantially more international visitors and hope that the fair will intensify its endeavours in this direction even further
