Evaluation of the Technical comparison table

From this table I can evaluate that for storage usage for your emails and texts or maybe even some
pdf files onto your phone then the Samsung s3 mini is the phone to get as it has 16GB compared to
the 8GB of the nokia Lumia 625 but it depends on the amount of storage you choose as on the
Samsung you can choose to only have 8GB which would then be the same as the nokia. A second
thing I can learn from the table is that the nokia has a larger battery which means it can last for
longer so when youre going on a long trip you dont need to worry about it running out of charge as
it has upto 15 hours 10 mins talk time whereas the Samsung has a hour less so when youre making
long phone calls the nokia is better for this. Another thing I can learn is that the Samsung has a larger
amount of ram storage at 1GB compared to the nokia which only has 512MB.

Additional comparison
Relative cost:
Both these phones are on 24 month contracts so you will be able to upgrade to the latest version of
that phone at the end of the two year period. Over the two year period the nokia Lumia 625 is 600.
whereas the Samsung is 31 a month over a two year period at 744 however you do get a laptop
free with this so we are saving money on the laptop so based on this is a better deal and cheaper.

How well they sold (in the time space of the first two months)
For nokia Lumia in the third quarter they sold 8.8 million units whereas Samsung sold over 20 million
units for the first hundred days of sales across the world.

Ease of use
Based on my research that Ive gone and done I can conclude that the Samsung is the easiest to use
based on customer reviews put on websites by customers who have tried and used both phones. On
average at Tesco mobile customers rated the ease of use at 8.5 out of 10 which suggests that its very
easy to use and the employees at New Solutions For Business should have no problems getting
started with it. However the nokia is out scored by just half a point at 8 out of 10 so this suggests
that it easy to use but its not as good as the Samsung.

Problems/Known errors of the two devices

One known problem for the nokia Lumia 625 is that since the recent black update there have been
problems as many users of the phone are experiencing their phone restarting by itself whilst using
an app like WhatsApp.
A well-documented problem for the Samsung s3 is that it keeps on freezing on you which in a
business isnt good as you can lose data and information that is important so this is a problem that
many users have found and have had to send back their phones and get a brand new replacement.

Online Connectivity
Both the nokia and Samsung offer 3G and 4G as part of the contract so the online connectivity is the
same as they both offer the same online connection its not going to vary it just when youre in the
middle of now where which one gives you the better signal.

Conclusion
Overall they are both good phones but the nokia is better for New Solutions For Business as it will
have things like Microsoft office on it as part of the package whereas on the Samsung youll have to
pay extra on top of the contact to get these features to be on the phone. Also the nokia is easy to
use which means new people joining the company will have no problems getting to know their
equipment. Based on research that Ive done the nokia also offers better 3G/4G connection across
the country which means that if you need to require the internet you can virtually anywhere in the
country where Samsungs coverage isnt as good which means when you need the internet you may
not be able to get. So the nokia is the phone to get as it will have all the features a company like New
Solutions For Business will need.

Evaluation of the Technical comparison table

The first evaluation I can make is that the Microsoft surface 2 has a gig more of ram storage then the
ASUS MeMO does so youll be able to save more on the Microsoft surface before you start to touch
storage so for a company this is important as youll have a lot of documents to save as well so this
one will be more practical. The surface is also better as it gives you more storage as it has 32GB
instead of 16GB for the ASUS so the surface again is the most practical as it will save the company
money by not buying more storage for the ASUS as the surface already give them that so they will be
able to save a lot more data and work on the surface than the ASUS. For better screen quality then
youll want the surface as at 207 pixels per inch it gives a better quality picture than the ASUS memo
pad which is at 149 pixels per inch so if youre presenting a presentation or showing something to
someone then the surface is the one you need. Also the surface is better as it has a longer battery
life than the ASUS at ten hours to the ASUSs nine which means it better as it lasts longer and will be
better for use whilst on the go. For unique features then the surface is for you again as it allows you
to do several other things then the ASUS so ti give you more variety and what type of things you can
do with. Also the surface has a lot more of unique features than ASUS memo pad as it has an SD card
so you can transfer any information from you tablet onto your computer whereas the memo pad
cant do this so the surface has an edge over the ASUS in this area. However there are similarities
6|Page

Lewis Baxter
into what you can buy as extras for it whether that is extra storage to cases to protect and insurance
if one of them breaks.

Additional comparison
Relative cost
At 250 the Microsoft surface is 100 more than the ASUS memo pad so if you were saving money
to get a better laptop then youd get an ASUS memo pad as it does what you need to do but once
youve got the extras added to the ASUS it would end up costing the same as the surface so there is
no point looking at the price difference because of the extras that need to be brought with it.

How well they sold (in the time space of the first two months)
Microsoft states its profit on the surface 2 and it says it made $400 million in the quarter of sales
whereas the ASUS memo pad had no sales data available so I cant compare the two together.

Ease of use

7|Page

Lewis Baxter
As you can see above the ASUS does seem to have a better ease of use rating at 8.4 out of ten
whereas the surface only scores 2.5 stars which is about 5 out of ten so people who use this tablet
so this suggests that people who are using these two tablets find the ASUS memo pad easier to use
than the Microsoft surface tablet.

Problems/Known errors of the two devices

One problem with the surface two is that the screen wont work so this is a major downfall of this
tablet as if youre presenting something its easier to touch than use a keyboard. So this would be
something that would seriously consider putting me off from purchasing one of these tablets for our
company.

Online Connectivity
The Microsoft surface has built in 3g and 4g but 4g does come at an extra cost and you can also
connect to home Wi-Fi and any free Wi-Fi across the country. However the ASUS memo pad doesnt
have 3G or 4G so youll only be able to connect to home WI-FI or youll have to buy mifi at an extra
cost to get coverage across the country.

Conclusion
Overall Id go with the Microsoft surface tab 2 that has more built in features like word and 4G
internet access which the ASUS doesnt have. Also the surface is better value for money even
though its a hundred pound more the Microsoft surface 2 come with all the mod cons imaginable so
you dont have to pay no more extra fees on top of the 250 that youve already spent whereas on
the ASUS memo pad youll need to buy the Microsoft office for it as well as the latest internet
browser so the employees arent lagging behind.

Evaluation of the Technical comparison table

One thing that the ASUS is better at is the amounts of ram which youve got as in the ASUS you have
6GB of ram whereas in the LENOVO Flex 10 you only get 4GB of ram so the more the better as you
can save more on the ASUS. Another thing the LENOVO Flex 10 is not as good is battery life as you
only get up to 4 hours whereas the ASUS you get up to six hours and battery life is key as if youre on
a long distance trip you need your laptops battery to last as long a s possible. Both have similar
operating systems with the with the LENEVO Flex just edging the ASUS out as the LENOVO Flex has
windows 8.1 which is the next upgrade form windows 8 which the ASUS has. However both are
equal when it comes to screens resolutions as for both laptops the resolutions is 1366 x 768 so they
are both very similar in this sense.

Additional comparison
Relative cost
The ASUS 156 inch is so much cheaper than the LENOVO Flex 10 10.1" Convertible Touchscreen
Laptop as it is part of a gift on a contract basis with the phone so the laptop is not costing me
anything whereas the LENOVO Flex 10 10.1" Convertible Touchscreen Laptop is costing me

229.99 which is a lot more than the ASUS 15.6 inch.

9|Page

Lewis Baxter

How well they sold (in the time space of the first two months)
There are no sales figures available for the LENOVO Flex 10 10.1" Convertible Touchscreen

Laptop. There are also no sales figures available for the ASUS 16.6 inch laptop.

Ease of use
Based on my research the LENOVO Flex 10 10.1" Convertible Touchscreen Laptop is easier to

use than the ASUS 15.6 inch this is because of the feature and the one key one in favour of
the LENOVO Flex 10 10.1" Convertible Touchscreen Laptop is that its touch screen and a lot
of people nowadays prefer this over a mouse and a keyboard.

Problems/Known errors of the two devices

One problem which many customers of the LENOVO Flex 10 10.1" Convertible Touchscreen

Laptop have found is that it is rather slow so for a business this isnt good as they need to be
quick to get there work done so waiting on a slow laptop isnt suitable.
A problem with the ASUS 15.6 inch laptop is that when it requires new software many
people have found out that it takes nearly twenty four hours to update to windows 8.1 so
for a business they cant be going twenty four hours without their laptop as it will have all
their data on it.

Online Connectivity
Both LENOVO Flex 10 10.1" Convertible Touchscreen Laptop and the ASUS 15.6 inch both

can connect to Wi-Fi but if youre on the go then youll require mifi at an extra cost if you
want to have online connectivity nearly anywhere.

Conclusion
Overall I think that the LENOVO Flex 10 10.1 is better however the asus laptop isnt as bad and as it
becomes part of a deal with the Samsung phone its cheaper option plus because the surface has
some attributes of a laptop it will be able to make up for anything that the laptop doesnt have
nearly.
