Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is the first of its kind.

recognition from UGC.
Some of the important objectives of the University are
To bring out the awareness about he authentic interpretation of the Veda in India and
abroad facilitating proper understanding of richness of the rational approach to life and scientific
temper presented in the Vedic Knowledge System.
To consolidate, revive and promote the Vedic learning and Sanskrit study as also to
integrate the scientific thought contained in the Vedas particularly in the disciplines of
Mathematics, Astronomy, Agriculture, Meteorology, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Yoga, Humanities,
Social Sciences and Management with the modern Scientific and Technological studies, so that
thorough integration of Vedic and scientific knowledge can be facilitated.
LOCATION
Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is located at Tirupati, in Alipiri-Chandragiri By-pass
Road, donw the Hill. Amidst the picturesque environment, the campus includes Grihya
Sadanam, Brahma Sadanam, Agama Nilayam and Vidyaranya Nilayam for academic
transcactions; "Rameshwaram" a majestic and impressive building meant for administrative
needs and Annapoorna Sadanam, a spacious dinning hall situated in the vicinity of students
hostels.
SALIENT FEATURE OF THE UNIVERSITY
It is an internationally acclaimed higher Education center for Vedas and Sastras. Students throng
from various parts of the country and across the globe in pursuit of their education. It has been
specially set up to conduct traditional courses in UG, PG and advanced Research in the areas of
Veda and other allied modern subjects.

A well ventilated library having the wealth of more than 12000 books at present is located at
"RAMESHWARAM". There is also a library of MANUSCRIPTS containing valuable palm leaf,
paper manuscripts and rare books.

STUDENTS CENTERED EDUCATION SYSTEM
Srutasamvardhini: It is a club organized by studetns themselves. The members of the club will
met atleast 9 times in an academic year. It is the brain child of the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor. It
aimed at the developing oratory and communicative skills of the students besides mastering over
the subject.
The all round development of the students was many times experienced by the eminent
visitors when the students give power point presentation while explaining the various topic of
their subjects. They gave such presentations before Dr. C.N.R. Rao, Prime Minter's Principal
Scientific Advisor, Dr. K. Kasturi Rangan, former ISRO Chairman, Sri J.V.S. Prasad,
Commissioner for Endowments etc.
Free Computer Training: Free coaching is given to students in the certificate course in DTP
Yourth Festival: Vedic Youth Festival was conducted by Sri Venkateswara Vedic University and
it has provided a platform for the students from various Pathasalas to prove their talents in
various fields. The University has proved itself potential enought to be ranked high in hosting
such events.
Free Yoga Training: Yoga is a special feature. The students practise yoga regularly in the
morning and evening under the well trained Yoga Master.
Gymnasium: A well equipped Gymnasium was established for the benefit of the students to
make themselves physically fit. Students were given training under a well trained Instructor.
Educational Tour: Every year one local and one national educational tour will be organized by
the University. The students were allowed to visit different place of importance.
Free Sanskrit and English Spoken Classes: Free training to the students will be provided to
speak fluently in Sanskrit and English.
Vignanaveechi: Under this programmes, eminent scholars in their respective fields will be
invited t deliver lectures for the benefit of the students.
Practical Training: Students will be provided with practical training in performing different
rituals.
Career Evolution Centre: "Career Evolution Centre" provides the students with books useful to
prepare for competitive examinations. Further, it provides coaching for U.P.S.C., A.P.P.S.C. and
other competitive examinations. It gives full fledged coaching during summer vacations and
arranges interaction with bureaucrats.

Placement Cell: The University has established a special placement cell for the benefit of the
students. Employment opportunities will be provided to the students through this cell. Till now
4 students were selected to work as priest in abroad.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Students participated in Hon'ble Former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's
Lead India Programme.
Students were encouraged to participate in different competitions organized by various
Universities.
The students won a consolation prize in the first attempt itself in All India Debate
Competition held at Ujjain.
The students won the prize in All India Competition in reciting Ashtadhyayi held at
Chennai.
The Students won 3 matches in South Indian Universities Chess Torunament held at
Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
