Special Rules
Flyer: This aircraft uses aerodynamic principals to stay aloft. When airborne, it must move at least half its
cruising speed at all times lest it crash to the ground. If it ever becomes completely immobilised due to
damage, count the vehicle as destroyed instead as it crashes to the ground.
Pilot Operated Linked Weaponry: All weapons classified as "Pilot-operated" may all be fired by the pilot
as one shooting action, at targets no more than one AU apart. Roll for hits and damage separately with
each weapon.
Reinforced Hull: When a vehicle with a Reinforced Hull receives a Critical Hit, halve the result, rounding
up. This quality does not affect rolls on the Critical Hit chart generated by Righteous Fury.
Vector Thrust Engines: The Valkyrie AAC may count as a Skimmer (and follow all the rules for a Skimmer)
for up to 2 minutes before it must return to counting as a Flyer. It may o this once every hour.
Availability: Scarce

Some more machines of destruction, including some new equipment. I also set the Vulture here to keep
them all together.

These weapons are designed to be fired over vast ranges. This is why they do not hit their target in the
same round they are fired, instead, they use one round for each 1.000m of distance they travel. Each
round, another BS test has to be made, with a cumulative 10 BS for each 1.000m or part of it that
exceeds the weapons range.

I wanted to give my Acolytes something unique as their planetary transport. I had a search around on
Ebay for parts to make a model for inspiration and illustration purposes. The vehicle and backstory I
came up with is as follows;
The Calixian Tithe Collector
This variation on the common Rhino troop transport is a design seemingly native to the Calixian Sector.
Records of the vehicle go back as far as the Angevin Crusade but its origin remains somewhat cloudy
even to the most astute Tech-Priests and Adepts. Some believe that the colloquially known Tithe
Collector was a result of creative Adeptus Mechanicus rebuilding battle damaged Rhinos,
Razorbacks and Predators from salvaged parts, others believe that the design is far too uniform and so
may have been more widespread at one time but has simply faded from use to be replaced by the
more popular Astartes Razorbacks and the Sororitas Immolator and Repressor vehicles.
Never a common vehicle, those Tithe Collectors that remain are often ornate relics of antiquity and
generally see service in various arms of the Administratum, in particular as personal transports for high
level members of the Adeptus Terra, mobile pulpits for particularly evangelical members of the
Ecclesiarchy and as patrol and riot control vehicles in service with the Adeptus Arbites. As such the
common populace of the sector has come to associate the appearance of one of these iconic
armoured vehicles with the demands of the God-Emperor, tithes and in some cases oppression and
repression.
It has been known for some of these vehicles to fall into the hands of Inquisitors or their acolytes. The
reputation of the vehicle coupled with the transport capability (often converted into limited living
accommodation) and respectable armament can make it a very useful tool in the fight against the
hidden enemies of the Imperium.
Type: Ground Vehicle
Size: Enormous
Armour: Hull 21, Top 18, Rear 18
Traits: Narrative Speed: 35 kph/70 kph
Combat Speed: 10/25/50/75/100
Handling Modifier: Drive (Ground Vehicle): +0
Armaments: two side-sponson mounted Autocannon
Crew: 3 (Driver & two Gunners)
Passengers: 6
Access Points: Hatch on the roof, ramp at the rear
Special: Robust. Due to the close similarities between the Tithe Collector and the ubiquitous Rhino APC
all test to repair the vehicle have a +10 bonus.
Infamy. Within the Calixian sector characters in the vehicle attempting to deal with people outside the
vehicle who are neither crew members or passengers of the vehicle gain a +10 to all Intimidate tests
and a -10 to all Charm tests.
