ATTENTION!
Switch of f the Sof t-Star ter SSW-06 before installing the USB
Communication Kit.
The electronic boards have components that are susceptible to
electrostatic discharge. Never touch any of the electrical components
or connectors without following the proper grounding procedures. If it is
necessary to do so, touch the grounded metallic frame or use a suitable
grounded wrist strap.

2 INFORMACIONES DE SEGURIDAD
ATENCIN!
Desconectar el arrancador suave SSW-06 antes de instalar el Kit de
Comunicacin USB.
Las tarjetas electrnicas utilizan componentes sensibles a descargas
electrostaticas. No tocar directamente sobre los componentes o
conectores. Caso necesario, tocar antes en la carcaza metlica puesta
a tierra o utilice pulsera antiesttica adecuada.

2 INFORMAES DE SEGURANA

Desligar a Soft-Starter SSW-06 antes de instalar o Kit de Comunicao
USB.
Os cartes eletrnicos possuem componentes sensveis a descargas
eletrostticas. No toque diretamente sobre componentes ou conectores.
Caso necessrio, toque antes na carcaa metlica aterrada ou utilize
pulseira de aterramento adequada.

4 USB DRIVER INSTALLING

The procedure below explains the method of installing the USB driver converter onto the
PC, to establish communication between the PC and SSW-06 through the USB port.
Install the driver USB of the converter RS-232 for USB of the CD supplied with the SSW-06
through the executable: DriveCD:\SSW06\USB_Driver\CDM 2.04.16.exe.
When connecting the USB of the SSW-06 to the PC, verify the communication port (COM
& LPT) which were destined to the USB, through the device manager.
To run device manager, click Start , click Run , type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK.
Another way to reach device manager is by clicking on Start > Settings > Control Panel
> System > Hardware > Device Manager.
In the device manager, in Ports (COM & LPT), the USB Serial Port (COMX) must be finded.
This must be the communication port (COMX) to be configured in the used software, for
example, SuperDriveG2 or WLP.

4 INSTALACIN DEL DRIVER USB

El procedimiento abajo explica el mtodo para instalar el driver del convertidor USB en
la computadora (PC), para establecer la comunicacin entre el PC y la SSW-06 por la
puerta USB.
Instale el driver USB del convertidor RS-232 para el USB del CD provedo del SSW-06
con el ejecutable: DriveCD:\SSW06\USB_Driver\CDM 2.04.16.exe.
Al conectar el USB del SSW-06 con la PC, verifique la puerta de la comunicacin (COM
& LPT) que esta destinada a el USB, con el administrador de dispositivos.
Para ejecutar el administrador de dispositivos, clic Iniciar, clic Ejecutar, digite devmgmt.
msc, y entonces clic OK. El administrador de dispositivos tambin puede ser accedido
por Iniciar > Configuraciones > Panel de Control > Sistema > Hardware > Administrador
de Dispositivos.
En el administrador de dispositivos, en Puertas (COM & LPT), usted debe encontrar el
USB Serial Port (COMX). sta debe ser la puerta de la comunicacin (COMX) que se
configurar en el software usado, ex. SuperDriveG2 o WLP.

4 INSTALAO DO DRIVER USB

O procedimento abaixo explica o mtodo para instalar o driver USB do conversor RS-232
para USB no PC, para estabelecer a comunicao entre o PC e a SSW-06 pela porta USB.
Instale o driver USB do conversor RS-232 para USB do CD fornecido com a SSW-06
atravs do executvel: DriveCD:\SSW06\USB_Driver\CDM 2.04.16.exe.
Ao conectar a USB da SSW-06 ao PC, verifique a porta de comunicao (COM & LPT)
ao qual foi destinada a USB, atravs do gerenciador de dispositivos.
Para executar o gerenciador de dispositivos, clique Iniciar, click Executar, digite devmgmt.
msc, e ento clique OK. O gerenciador de dispositivos tambm pode ser acessado por
Iniciar > Configuraes > Painel de Controle > Sistema > Hardware > Gerenciador de
Dispositivos.
No gerenciador de dispositivos, em Portas (COM & LPT), deve-se encontrar a USB
Serial Port (COMX). Esta deve ser a porta de comunicao (COMX) a ser configurada
no software utilizado, ex. SuperDriveG2 ou WLP.
