Instruction on use:
===================
A word of caution: You must look at the bottom of the VCB:
For instructions on where to click in the opening. This Door Tool uses the "pick 3 points
rectangle" approach to installing any "Door Style" from the Door Tool menu, into any wall
opening. including any of the "Door Accessories" into any opening into the selected "Door
Style". Door Tool will NOT make or cut any openings. The opening must be predefined with
required height and width, prior to using Door Tools.

1. Frame Tool: Draws Door Frames, which are the thickness of the wall. The 2d
frame profile is also added to the DoorSwing Layer, when a Door frame is used.
2. Left Hand Door: "Click Top Left Corner of any opening to start > Left Hand
Door"
3. Right Hand Door: "Click Top Right Corner of any opening to start > Right Hand
Door"
4. Be aware Doors go into Walls, and Walls have thickness. Make sure Wall
thickness is defined! The default Wall thickness is 6". This is important since all
Doors can be drawn from one side of the opening the door is going to occupy.
You DO NOT have to rotate walls to draw doors in the opposite wall opening.
The 2 main Door drawing routines reside under the "Door Swing" menu. They
provide access to 4 possible Door Swing types.

Right Hand and Right Hand Reverse

Left hand and Left Hand Reverse

5. Door Styles: Slab, Panel, Panel Open, Panel & Glass, Glass Use Panel Open for
adding Door Accessories such as Mullions, Louvers, Glass, to your Doors.
6. Default Layer, by default all Door components are placed on the "Doors" layer
However the name can be changed in the dialog box, prior to placing doors.
7. DoorSwing Layer: shows only the 2d door swing, and also the 2d frame profile if
a door frame is used.
8. Panic Rail: NO/YES option
9. Hardware: options include; Lever, Knob, None
10. Trim Tool: Draws Door Molding Trim; around the opening, one one or both sides
of the wall.
11. Mullion Tool: Draws Mullions, into Panel doors if the Panel Open door type has
been chosen prior.
12. Louver Tool: Draws Louvers, into Panel doors if the Panel Open door type has
been chosen prior.
13. Glass Tool: Draws Glass; into Panel doors if the Panel Open door type has been
chosen prior.

The Louver & Mullion Tools are both usable with many other applications. For example: the
Louver Tool can draw window blinds behind glass, or make a patio screen etc. The angle of
the louvers is adjustable, as is the offset from the sides, and recess into the opening. The
Mullion Tool can create Panels; solid, open, or both.

Creating a set of Double Doors:

===============================
There are no automatic Double doors drawing routines in Door Tools. Double Doors: are
created by using both the Right and Left Hand Door tool drawing routines. That means half
the opening will contain a Right Hand Door, and other half will contain a Left Hand Door.
1. Start by choosing either a Right or Left Hand Door.
2. Lets start by picking a Left Hand Door.
3. Pick the Highlighted Center or Midpoint at the Head of the opening. Finish the
Left Hand Door installation.
4. Now Pick the Right Hand Door, from the Highlighted Center or Midpoint at the
Head of the opening. Finish the Right Hand Door installation.

The Use of Globals:

===================
This program uses Global Variables (I can hardly wait for the response from other
Ruby programmers on this subject) :) Since these 7 Ruby Door Tool programs are
interrelated with and to each other, common Globals Variables are the only way I could make
that link. In order to avoid possible naming conflicts of Gobals Variables used in Door Tools
affecting similar Globals in other Ruby programs, I have used a random alpha-numeric,
including upper and lower case sequence, for each Global Variable.
Simply this means, If you decide to change the wall thickness from the default 6" to
8". the 8" value. That change will be reflected in any other Door Tool Rubyies. It also means,
if you don't like any selected values, you can still see the last entered values, you don't have
to remember them, before you make new changes. While remembering only one number may
not seem a difficult task. Installing Mullions with various combinations of vertical and
horizontal panes is quite another story. As is the case with Louvers, which has 5 variables
that can affect the appearance of the Louver. Please note, these Global Variables will only
reflect changes during the current session of SU, thats means the next time SU is started,
Door Tools' start with its default values again.
