Uptown School - Admission Requirements

Thank you for submitting an application to Uptown School (UTS). In order to process your
application you are required to submit the following documents:
1. Copy of stude ts Birth Certificate in English or Arabic (if not, this should be translated &
authenticated from your Embassy or Consulate)
2. Copy of stude ts Passport and resident Visa (Resident Visa needs to be supplied as soon as
available)
3. Copy of each pare ts passport and resident visa (resident Visas need to be submitted as
soon as available)
4. Copy of stude ts and both parent's emirates ID (ID needs to be supplied as soon as
available)
5. Copies of Most Recent School Reports (i.e. most recent report card)
6. Copy of the most recent school reports, signed and stamped on schools letterhead
7. Recent Medical Record and copy of stude ts Vaccination
8. Copy of any diagnostic testing or educational assessment (if applicable)
9. Any psychological assessments (if applicable)
10. 6 recent passport size photos of the student (originals required)
11. Transfer certificate in English or Arabic
a. If the transfer certificate is not in Arabic or English it should be translated and authenticated
from your Embassy or Consulate
b. The Transfer Certificate MUST confirm the grade completed and exit date from the current
school.
c. UAE Transfer - Local transfer certificate must be attested by the KHDA or other Educational
Zone in the UAE

d. Overseas Transfer (either applies)

i. Attested Transfer Certificate is not required from America, Canada, Europe, Australia,/New
Zealand.
ii. For other countries not listed: the Transfer Certificate must be attested by the Ministry of
Education Department of Foreign Affairs AND UAE Embassy in the country where the Certificate
was issued.
Please scan documents to admissions@uptownschool.ae or drop off at school. Your application
cannot be considered until the above documentation is received and a nonrefundable
application fee of 500 AED is paid prior to testing. When all required paperwork and payment is
complete, you will be contacted by the Admissions Office to set a date for an assessment test.
Please allow at least two working days after the date of the assessment to receive any
information on the results of the assessment. Results will ONLY be provided if all the
documentation request above has been turned into the Admissions Office to be placed in the
application file for the student. Acceptance to UTS is contingent upon the results of the
assessment test, former school reports, and student interview (if required).
