LAHORE: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that all the plans of
those sitting on the containers would die their own death.Plan C and D would die their
death, as the people had rejected the politics of sit-ins, he remarked.

He expressed these views as Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on him at his Jati
Umra residence and discussed the latest political situation in the wake of the Pakistan Tehreek-eInsafs (PTI) Islamabad rally and its implications.

The premier said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had given relief
to the people by slashing the prices of electricity and petroleum products but some elements did
not want the countrys progress and stability and were hatching conspiracies against the elected
government.

Meanwhile, topics including the development initiatives in Punjab, self-employment scheme,

Ashiana Housing Scheme for low-income groups and power projects also came under
discussion. The prime minister said that those staging sit-ins would have to hold talks at the end.

The elements pursuing anti-democratic and anti-constitutional agendas had been exposed before
the people, he said, adding that they should come to parliament if they were really concerned
about the peoples problems.

The sources said that the Punjab chief minister informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that
conditions had been softened and the final date for the submission of applications was extended
under the self-employment scheme and Apna Rozgar Scheme on demand of the people who
showed a keen interest in the venture. This would help more people to benefit from the scheme,
he added.

The sources said the prime minister praised the low-income group-specific development projects
launched by the provincial government and said the latest decrease in the prices of petroleum
products was the biggest in the countrys history. The move would not only benefit the people
but also minimise their problems, he added.

He directed the provincial government to take action against profiteers and hoarders and said the
government was determined to overcome power loadshedding. The government, Nawaz said,
would one day also provide cheap electricity to the people just as he had slashed prices of
petroleum products.

On the other hand, a private TV channel while quoting sources claimed that Premier Nawaz
Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also agreed to reinitiate dialogue with the PTI.It was
reported that the chief minister said the ultimate solution to the current crisis lay only in talks
between the two sides.

On the other hand, senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said he did
not foresee the prime ministers resignation as a result of Plan C unveiled by PTI Chairman
Imran Khan.

Talking to the media, he said the expected announcement of Plan C meant that Plan A and B had
failed to yield any result, adding that Plan D would soon come after Plan C. He, however, said
the May 2013 elections were rigged.
