Rizwan Sanitary Fittings


Introduction:
This company is famous in manufacturing all kinds of Bathroom accessories like Taps, ceramics
and Showers. It is certified by ISO 9000. It is well-known in its competitors in all our Punjab. It
has Goodwill in public as well as in business world. It also exports its products in many countries
e.g Dubai, Kuwait, libnan and Sharjha.
It was constructed in 1978 by Haji Aslam Butt (Late) and Haji Akram Butt at Sheikhupura road,
Gujranwala. They both took that company to the top of the success by working Dawn to Dusk.
They face many problems in the start of the business but they survive and eventually reach to
accomplish their goals. With the passage of time they continuously expand their business in
different fields like Ceramics and Copper wires. In the beginning it was operated by both
partners but after the death of Haji Aslam the company was overcome by Haji Akram Butt and
their sons.
Rizwan Sanitary is internationally acclaimed to be the first of its kind product all over the world.
Quality of the end product at Rizwan Sanitary is even better than the top world companies. This
is primarily because of their access to better quality raw materials here in Pakistan. Secondly
they are lucky to install a combination of all the latest German technologies, being put to work
together for the first time anywhere in the world. Rizwan Sanitary has a wide range of designs in
Taps and Ceramics etc. Finally product is quality checked, sorted and stored through a manually
mechanism. Ceramics and Taps are an ideal interior for Bathrooms.
Surviving all tests of time, Rizwan Sanitary kept changing forms and functions to meet the
demands in the market of rapidly changing times.

coding,
Competitors: Major Competitor in our industry is Faisal sanitary fittings, Tariq Sanitary, Super
Asia.

Value Chain Analysis:
Primary Activities
Inbound Logistics: Basic material for making taps is any kind of Brass Metal. This is
purchased from different suppliers. Suppliers supply raw material i.e. local and imported. There
are 8 to 10 suppliers of Brass. The raw material stored in Ware house and when it needed then
the raw material will supplied to the Production area. Where it is used in Killen for melting and
Die Casting.
Operations: There are different kinds of operations occurred in making of taps. First of
all raw material came in factory then it goes to the Killen for melting then the melted material
transform into Dies and a raw shape of tape is made then it goes to the lathing machines sector
where it becomes fine then it moves towards the polishing machines and then it is decided on
order whether is gone for Chrome plating or for Color Plating. After this the Other Accessories
like Mohra, Head or liver are attached on it.
Outbound Logistics: when the tap is ready after Chrome or Color plating and
Assembling. It moves forwards to the Checking Department where it is checked with air pressure
and also with the water pressure. Then the quality assurance department again assures the quality
of taps i.e. its color, its finishing and also the flow of water. After checking, the taps finally
Packed and stored in Warehouse and are ready for distribution to the suppliers. 10% of the
production kept as inventory and remaining is available for distribution. Order is places in order
taking department by the sales men then the instructions are passed to the warehouse for order

delivery. They deliver the taps to their dealers and whole sellers through transport goods. And if
they have to export they use containers for delivery through shipment. Rizwan sanitary has many
showrooms in different cities because they want to make their products easily assessable.
Marketing and sales: Our products marketed through Sales men, Whole sellers, Dealers and
Own showrooms. Pricing is according to the competitors and 30-40% profit margin. To increase
sales force effectiveness incentives are given to sales person according to the target achievement.
Services: After selling the products they also provide fitting services and also repairing service
to their customer. Delivery services to the customer.
Support Activities:
Procurement: Raw material is purchased from many different suppliers there are almost 5 major
suppliers. Raw material includes different forms of Brass and Silver. Fixed asset includes Land ,
Machinery , Generator and investment on Killen.
Technological development: There is well organized R&D department which keep on working
for marketing research for new trends and designs. They always try to work with advance
technology and keep on introducing new designs in the market after every interval of 6 months.
Human Resources: HR manager is responsible for hiring, retaining and compensating the
employees. If there is any need of new employee or replacing the employee then ad given on the
banners in industrial area for new hiring. HR manager took interview and then Haji Akram will
finally select the respective person. If there is installation of new machinery then the employees
are given with training of operating the machine through machine providers. Some new hiring
are completely unaware of the work they also given on the job training.
Infrastructure: Its covered area is four kinals. There are different department in its
infrastructure according to their jobs.HR Department, Accounts Department, R&D Department,
Quality assurance department, Marketing & Sales department and Order taking department. For
over viewing the employees work and for security purpose cameras are being installed.
