Sustainable Agriculture And Urbanization

Introduction
Sustainable Agriculture" is a term first used by a Scientist named Gordon
McClymont. He is an Australian scientist of late 19 th Century. Sustainable Agriculture
can define as a way of farming, based on our core knowledge about ecology.
Ecology is a branch of biology, and it is the study that is intended to learn and
understand about an organism and its relation & dependency to its environment. It
also involves studying the existence of other organisms in the environment that
influences the organism in the study. It helps us understand why various organisms
live in a certain environment and the reasons for their population distribution. The
primary goal of Sustainable Agriculture is to enhance our capabilities to produce
and feed our growing population of our world with adequate and nutritious food,
without over-exhausting the available natural resources on the Earth.

Advantages of Sustainable Agriculture

Helps us organise our usage of available resources and avoid over-Exploiting

them.

Enables us to minimise the usage of Non-renewable resources.

Provides our Farmers and the local population with Health protection and
safety.

Not just protect but also enhance our Environment and the available Natural
resources.

Assures us of the Economic viability of our Farming Practices.

Farmers get rewarded enough and get motivated to perform their best.

Food produced is ensured of its Adequacy and Nutritious value.

Uses Technology in order to make sure any local conditions is matched in size
and scale.

Methods of Sustainable Agriculture

The most common methods used in Sustainable agriculture are Soil Amendments
and crop rotation. Soil Amendment is the method in which the target is to reduce soil
erosion to as minimum as possible. In order to do that, local communities get
together and help in processing the household garden and kitchen waste in a
commonly allocated site, which otherwise are dump as waste. This in turn gives us
what is called as Organic Compost. Organic Compost is then used by the farmers in
their fields in order to replenish the minerals of the soil and keep them from erosion.
This method also benefits economically and ensures the crops grown get their
required nutrition and has healthy growth. Crop rotation is another method in which a
variety of crops is grown in the same farm over the varied seasons of the year in
order to make sure minimised erosion. It also increases the crops resistance towards
diseases and reduces the loss of nutrients in the soil. For example, Legumes are
good at nitrogen fixation in soil. So, legumes grown in conjunction with a plant that
relies on nitrate content of the soil would enable the farmers to reuse the field for the
same crop growth without the worry of the soil suitability. There are many other
possible methods available and constantly being researched on, to make
sustainable Agriculture more common.

Urbanisation and Sustainable Agriculture

There are enough people debating today on the different possibilities of sustainable
agriculture. Some support urban High population density system to preserve
Agricultural lands. And some support combination of human habitat and eco farming
with very proximity between the point of production and consumption. Latest Ideas in
Sustainable agriculture include vertical farming that is yet to be realised but a very
promising possibility according to many people around the world. Vertical farming is
a method in which Farms could be grown on indoor multi-storey buildings with
artificially maintained conditions according to the requirements of different plants.
Vertical farming promises best quantity and quality with other benefits such as
resistance to diseases and economic viability.

Sustainable Agriculture Made Possible through the Trivedi Effect

A natural phenomenon that paves a way for sustainable agriculture is the Trivedi

Effect . It uses the biomedical energy transmission of Mahendra Trivedi.

Mahendra Trivedi, who is commonly known as the spiritual master, uses the inherent
ability to

transform

living

and

non-living

organisms

to

perform

better.

Various researches conducted on crops and plants using the biofield energy
transmission have revealed that the crops produced a better yield that the control
variety. To know more about how to produce better yield and how to attain
sustainable agriculture using the natural method visit, www.trivediagriculture.com
