Bincho-Tan Grill Traditional Japanese grill uses binchotan, a charcoal

Tempura

made from oak. It is chemical free and burns 3 times hotter than
American charcoal. Because it burns hotter, the food is seared on the
outside, sealing the juices on the inside.

In Japan, friends often gather at izakaya, cozy Japanese

public houses, sipping on glasses of beer, tippling an
o-choko of sak, nursing a snifter of whisky or a highball
of shochu, all the while nibbling on simple delicious bites,
and enjoying the cameraderie of companions, celebrating
the days worries away.
Often known for their red akachochin, or red paper
lantern, izakaya are warm and inviting. A tsukidashi may
greet you with your drinks, inviting you to pore over the
menu and order as you go, enjoying the night as it
unwinds.

Izakaya n. (ee-ZAH-kah-yah) Literally translated, to sit

at a sake shop, izakaya are Japanese pubs characterized
by small plates of Japanese comfort food, free flowing
sake, and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Mita n., proper (mee-TAH) Japanese family surname
