Foreword
Dear Volleyball players, coaches and interested,
Welcome to the First International Youth Volleyball Tournament in Alkmaar. Our tournament stems from a
cooperation with our talent center volleyball, Alkmaar Sport and the school for top sport-talents in Alkmaar,
OSG Willem Blaeu and the Dutch Volleyball Association NeVoBo. From the 19th till the 23rd of December
2014, we will organize a tournament for girls a tournament for girls ages 16 and younger . In this program
you will find all the information you will need.
Before we start this tournament I want to thank everybody who helped in any way to make this great new
event possible.
Lets hope we will have a wonderful tournament! Good luck!

Beste volleybalsters, begeleiders en genteresseerden,
Welkom op het eerste Internationale jeugdvolleybal toernooi in Alkmaar.
RTC Alkmaar organiseert met medewerking van OSG Willem Blaeu, Alkmaar Sport en NeVoBo dit toernooi
met een sterke bezetting. In dit boekje staat alle informatie die jullie nodig hebben, zoals tijden, wedstrijden
en spelregels. Voor we beginnen wil iedereen bedanken die een rol heeft betekent om dit toernooi mogelijk
te maken.
Wij hopen dat het een geslaagd toernooi zal worden. Succes!!

De Nederlandse Volleybal Bond

A note from Edwin Benne
Vroeger werd ik als 15 -jarige geselecteerd voor de toenmalige districtstrainingen (Eemland).
Een van de voorlopers op het RTC. Hierbij mocht ik direct meespelen tegen goede teams en
het mooiste waren de internationale ontmoetingen. Mooi dat je via de sport in contact komt
met andere landen en culturen. Dat heeft me altijd genteresseerd. Mede hierdoor heb ik later
als speler en trainer ook in het buitenland gewerkt

RTC
Het RTC is een opleiding voor jonge, veelbelovende volleyballers/-sters. Jonge talenten vanaf 10 tot en met
16 jaar krijgen de kans om samen, onder deskundige leiding, te trainen en beter te worden. Dat doen we in
een omgeving waar we sport en onderwijs combineren, zodat je tijdens je opleiding heel veel kunt
volleyballen. Hierdoor willen we bereiken dat je ook na je volleybalcarrire verder kunt met het
maatschappelijke diploma dat je tijdens je RTC periode hebt behaald. Denk jij dat je het in je hebt? Meld je

Regio Trainingen
Wanneer je veel talent hebt voor volleybal, maar je net niet goed genoeg bent voor de TalentTeams of
RTCs, dan zijn er ook mogelijkheden voor regionale jeugdopleidingen.
Als aanvulling op de eigen clubtrainingen worden er in elke regio opleidingsmogelijkheden geboden aan
talentvolle jeugd. De organisatie ligt bij de regio of bij een aantal verenigingen waarbij de regio ondersteunt.
In Noord Holland organiseert bijvoorbeeld Stichting Amsterdams Jeugd Volleybal elke zondagochtend
clubonafhankelijke regiotrainingen. Meer informatie kun je vinden op http://www.sajv.nl/

Topsport-talentschool OSG Willem Blaeu

OSG Willem Blaeu is een Topsport talentschool. Dat wil zeggen dat onze school een aankomend topsporter
met een erkende NOC*NSF status (Topsport Talentleerling) vanuit de bond en talentvolle sporters uit de
regio zo goed als mogelijk helpen om sport en studie te combineren.
OSG Willem Blaeu heeft oog voor alle leerlingen: we streven bij elke leerling, op ieder niveau, naar het
verleggen van zijn of haar grenzen. Willem Blaeu biedt onderwijs en begeleiding op maat. Alle leerlingen
krijgen aandacht en worden uitgedaagd om het beste van zichzelf te laten zien en zich persoonlijk te
ontplooien.
Een Willem Blaeu-didactiek en pedagogiek is herkenbaar bij alle onderwijsniveaus, die we aanbieden.
Hierdoor worden onze leerlingen geactiveerd en gemotiveerd en voelen zij zich eigenaar van hun eigen
leerproces. Duidelijkheid, structuur en veiligheid bepalen het klimaat van onze lessen. Mentoren helpen
onze leerlingen hun ambities waar te maken. Voor de mentorlessen is een programma ontwikkeld dat
aansluit bij een begeleiding op maat met aandacht voor groepsdynamica, leerstijlen en verschillende typen
van intelligentie.
Aan de Topsport talentschool zijn meerdere
talentontwikkelingsprogrammas aangesloten. Zo is er een
talentontwikkelingsprogramma voor: rugby (Rugby academy NW),
meisjesvoetbal (Telstar meisjesvoetbalacademie), volleybal
(Nevobo), softbal, basketbal (Kings academy), hockey (Regionale
Hockeyopleiding) en judo (Tom van der Kolk). Daarnaast zijn er
samenwerkingsverbanden met de jeugdvoetbalafdeling van AZ, de
zwemvereniging DAW, Holland schermen, Triffis
trampolinespringen, turnvereniging Saturna en tennisacademy van
Gelderen. Tevens begeleiden we vele individuele sporters.
Voor het volleybal is er binnen OSG Willem Blaeu een eigen programma. Op dit moment volgen 11
volleyballers dit programma van extra trainingen tijdens schooltijd. Heb je interesse? Kom dan langs op n

Rules
OSG Willem Bleau

Eating and drinking in school is only allowed in the school canteen.

In school no shoes are allowed in the gym areas.
Access is only allowed in the areas showed on the map of the school. Strictly no admittance in other
areas.
If you sleep at school, bring your own inflatable bed/matrass, pillow, sleeping bag and sheets.

Sport Complex the Oosterhout

Every match consists of 3 sets till 25. At the score of 2-0 or 0-2, a third set will be played on a fair
play basis. This set will not count in the tournament. At the score of 1-1, the third set will decide who
wins. In this case the third set will count. When you win you receive 3 points and if you lose you
receive no points. If the game ends in 2-1 or 1-2, same rules apply. If at the end of the group stage
two teams are tied in points, only the sets count that were played to win the game.
Besides above rules, we will play by the rules of the FIVB.
Playing with Libero is allowed.
Net height is 2:24.
Games will be led by one or two qualified Nevobo referees.
After every the game, the coach notes the best attacker, MVP, server and defender of the opponent
on the score sheet.
The coach or team-captain needs to pick up lunch.
Keep the gym, canteen and all other areas clean. There are volunteers but there are volunteers but
they rather watch a volleyball match than they clean. .

Activities

Activities are not mandatory. If you dont like to join the planned activities or youd like to make your
own plans, please inform the organization in time.

General rules

Alcohol, cigarettes and drugs are not allowed at any time.

Be in time, so please look the time schedule carefully.
For the teams who travel by plane. The organization has volleyballs available.all other teams should
bring their own.
Look out for each other and each other valuables.
In all cases where the regulations above are not conclusive, the organization decides.
The organization of this tournament cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or injuries of any kind.

Transportation will be arranged by busses and several volunteers. If you will be transported by a bus it will
be indicated by a B with a number. On the busses you will find the corresponding numbers.
If there is an C for your transport it means that you will be transported by cars. Make sure you are in the
lobby or in front of the building in time.
