On December 13, 2014, at approximately 2329 hours, while on uniformed patrol in a marked patrol vehicle, I was
parked in the track and field parking lot watching the stop sign located on Woodlawn Drive south bound onto
Stadium Road. Officer Savona, ID79, my training officer, was running radar on Stadium road traffic while stationary
in vehicle UF12. Officer Savona clocked a vehicle going 30mph on Stadium west bound. The speed limit on campus
is 20mph. I initiated a traffic stop on a silver Infinity FL-BPQU66, that stopped in the Springs residential area
parking lot.
As I pulled into the parking lot behind the vehicle, I observed the driver exiting his vehicle. I made contact with the
driver and he said his name was Treon Harris and he was the quarterback of University of Florida Gator football
team. Harris also advised that he did not have a drivers license, and had never had one, when asked for his license.
While talking to Harris at the rear of the passenger side of the vehicle, I noticed the odor of marijuana coming from
the vehicle. The marijuana did not smell like burnt marijuana. I asked Jerald C. Jackson, sitting in the rear
passenger seat, and Jalen T. Tabor, sitting in the front passenger seat, to exit the vehicle.
After being asked, Harris gave his consent to allow me to search the car. During my search of the vehicle, I found
two small plastic bags with a green leafy substance that appeared to be marijuana. The first bag was found in the
back of the passenger seat in a net storage pocket, directly in front of where Jackson was sitting in the vehicle. This
bag contained 1.2 grams of what later tested as marijuana using a Marijuana Quick Check Test. The second bag
was found between the driver seat and the middle console, towards the rear of the vehicle. It was visible from the
back seats of the car. The second bag contained 1.9 grams of marijuana, also tested using a Marijuana Quick Check
Test.
Post Miranda, all three occupants of the vehicle refused to answer any questions regarding to who the drugs
belonged to. Because it was not their vehicle and we could not prove ownership or possession of the marijuana to
any of the passengers at the time, and it was not in a position readily accessible to the driver, no charges were filed
for the marijuana.
Harris was given a verbal warning for speeding and was issued a criminal traffic citation for driving without a driver
license under Florida State Statute 322.03(1). I advised Harris that he would have a court date on January 15, 2015 at
1:30pm regarding the citation.
All three affiliate to the university as students and will be referred to the Student Conduct Conflict Resolution for the
marijuana found in the vehicle.
Lt. Davis, ID19, made contact with the daughter of the registered owner of the vehicle to allow the release of the car
to Tabor.
Pictures were taken of the marijuana and attached to the report. The drugs were placed in property locker #14.

On above date and time, I responded to the Springs Residential Complex south parking lot reference this incident. I
spoke with E'mani Cain on the telephone regarding her vehicle. She gave permission for Jalen Tabor to drive her
vehicle back to her residence. Officer Anderson confirmed Mr. Tabor had a valid driver license.
This concludes my involvement in this case.
