REPORT WRITING

1. Write a report on the need to treat poor children with kindness

HELPING THE POOR CHILDREN
By our Staff Reporter:
Vijayawada: The poor children living in and around the slum areas of the city are leading a
miserable life. The future of India has no food and shelter. They are living in unhygienic
conditions. As the parents are daily laborers, there is none to look after these children.
Though the parents work, these children do not have two square meals. They are awaiting
helping hand.
Philanthropists should come forward. Their help result in good education and food
to the children. They are under nourished and mostly illiterates. Help is needed on warfoot basis. It is a big appeal to all the citizens to help these poor children.

3. Write a report to create awareness about the preventive measures to control

the breeding of mosquitoes.
MOSQUITO BREEDING GOES ON UNABATED
By the staff Reporter,
Vijayawada: Chikungunya, Dengue fever and Malaria are wide spread in the city. Its all
because of mosquitoes. People, especially living in slum areas have to keep their
surroundings clean and tidy. The rich however maintain their houses spick and span. Yet
there may be stagnation of water due to either rain or water closed drains. If it happens, it
becomes a breeding center for mosquitoes. So, periodically it is better to fumigate houses
as well as water closed drains. Food dishes should be covered properly or mosquitoes settle
and cause ill-health. People should drink only chlorinated water.

4.Write a report to a newspaper highlighting the poor public services in villages

and suggest that the government should evolve a policy where by rural
service is made compulsory for all government employees.
POOR SERVICE FACILITIES IN VILLAGES
By our staff Reporter,
Vijayawada: The villages in our state are neglected. No proper roads to reach these rural
areas. Every village needs Public Health Centre. The villagers need better medical
facilities. Public telephones, internet services, well laid roads and purified drinking water
are the essentials to the villagers. These services should be made compulsory in the rural
areas. As they are the back bones of the nation, the government should take care of them. If
not, people will migrate to cities. It results in urban chaos.
The authorities concerned have to start immediate remedial measures and save the
villages from further difficulties and inconvenience.

6. Write a report on emphasizing the importance of both Telugu and English

and insist that teaching of both the languages be made compulsory in
schools and colleges.
TELUGU & ENGLISH ESSENTIAL
By our staff Reporter,
Vijayawada: The state Government is not paying proper attention to the maintenance of
Govt. Schools and colleges. So, most of the students who can afford are opting for
corporate institutions to study in English medium.
But the fact is that it is done at the cost of Telugu. Neither the teachers nor the
authorities concerned are bothered about Telugu medium students. Its significance and

value should not be under estimated. Students understand their lessons easily in mother
tongue.
On the other hand, English medium is equally useful. Hence it should be taught
from the primary level itself. Most of the books on all subjects are only in English.
Therefore it is more popular than Telugu. So, the students should be given the benefit of
both the media at primary, secondary and collegiate levels.

10) Write a report on some newly released film which conveys a message
regarding the need to foster family relation ships.
MOVIE WITH A MESSAGE
By our staff Reporter
Vijayawada: Most of the films releasing these days are full of crime violence and obscene.
They give neither entertainment nor message.
The newly released film Sankranthi is entirely different from the other
films. There is entertainment, humour and a message in the film. It is the story of four
brothers who live with their parents. They continue to live with them even after their
marriages. When their relatives try to separate them, they teach them a lesson. They value
joint family system.
The film gives a message to the younger generation to maintain family
relations. It is the strength of our Indian Society.

11) Write a report on the need to use non-conventional energy sources like
the wind and the sun and how these will replace conventional energy sources
in a few decades
NEW ENERGY SOURCES-RENEWABLE
By our Staff Reporter:
Vijayawada: We have been using Conventional energy sources for a long time. Energy is
something man cannot live without. Conventional sources of energy like Coal, Petroleum
are fast depleting. And they cause pollution too. As a result our natural resources are
reducing rapidly. Our forests are shrinking. A technology to tap non-conventional energy
sources already exists. The possibilities of exploiting the wind and the sun as the source of
energy are enormous.
Solar and wind energies are much cheaper and cleaner than those of conventional
forms. It is only popularization and infrastructure that are to be achieved. Renewable and
refreshing energy sources are about to replace the old forms of energy sources. We can
check the degradation of the eco-system if we use non-conventional energy sources.

should feel guilty to learn the preventive measures, said the Medical experts and the
volunteers. Safety measures to prevent AIDS have been highlighted and explained.
There are many possible risk factors in HIV infection. All of them have been
discussed in the camp. People have been advised to follow the methods of safe sex and not
to share syringes. The programme served the desired purpose. The camp was organized by
the District Medical Association and attended by many college teachers and students.

13. Write a report on the family serials telecast on the television everyday and
the impact that characters who play negative roles have on young minds
IMPACT OF SERIALS ON YOUNG MINDS
By our Staff Reporter:
Vijayawada: Many serials are being telecasted by various T.V. Channels round the clock.
Parents feel that these serials do not present family relations. But on the other hand, the
negative occurrences in the family life are exaggerated. They feel that the role of the black
sheep in certain families is presented in a high manner. They have negative impact on the
young minds.
The practical intelligence and the quick results such characters achieve
intoxicate young minds. The Old can resist it but not the Young. So for relaxation, the
young minds are falling prey to the T.V channels and their negative effects, says a
Psychologist.

14. April 22 is Earth Day and June 5 is World Environment Day. Write a
report to create awareness amongst students about the need to protect the
environment
ENVIRONMENT - ACTION URGENT
By our Staff Reporter:
Vijayawada: April 22nd happens to be Earth Day and June 5th World Environment Day.
These two days receive everyones responsibility to protect Earth and save it from the
clutches of pollution.
We have been relentlessly exploiting natural resources for years. As a result
forests are shrinking, fisheries are dwindling and water tables are falling. Deforestation,
indiscriminate use of machines all add to various kinds of pollution. We cannot afford to
allow its continuance. We all have to take care of environment-even in the interest of our
own survival.

In order to protect the environment we must stabilize climate and control the
population. All of us must try to protect the environment and save our planet.

coolies. So they do not know the necessity of education or environmental awareness. With
the help of the villagers, they laid a road of 200 meters. They advised the villagers to keep
the surroundings clean and hygiene. They told them about the preventive measures to
control the breeding of mosquitoes. They gave them information regarding AIDS
awareness. The villagers were very happy with their visit.

There are many obscene and vulgar cinema posters at all public places in the
city. They are found near schools and colleges. They are distracting students from their
studies and spoiling young minds. We do not feel the necessity of such posters or their
inspiration near educational institutions. They are producing demoralizing effects.
I want to bring to your notice that care must be taken in displaying posters near
educational institutions. It is better if law is made prohibiting exhibition of cinema posters
