Oils, greases, diesel and other petroleum products

are hydrocarbons, meaning simply that they
consist of hydrogen and carbon. The product
uses micro-extraction technology to remove
hydrocarbons from surfaces and often from
substrates even beneath a surface. Once the liquid
hydrocarbons are extracted, the breakthrough
technology in Clean and Gone captures the
hydrocarbon material in a protective, solid Clean
and Gone shield coating, thereby almost totally
drying it out and removing the hydrocarbon.
The longer the product stays on a spot, the more
it can remove. Once the water in the formula has
evaporated, the encapsulated hydrocarbon becomes
dust, making for easier disposal.

Most cleaners just move oil and dirt from

one location to another. This product actually
removes the oil and dirt. So while other products
remain slippery or even increase the slipperiness of
a surface while cleaning, the Clean and Gone dries
out the oily, slippery surfaces, making for a much
safer work environment.

There is clean and then there is super-clean. Clean
and Gone can be used as a general purpose
cleaner of all surfaces, except for glass and stainless
steel. Some folks use it for cleaning grease off their
tools. Others use it for cleaning their tool cabinets.
We always recommend testing it on a small surface
first and following our recommended dilution ratios.

Unlike almost all other cleaners, Clean and Gone
does not add to the levels of total petroleum
hydrocarbons (TPHs), biochemical oxygen demand
(BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD),
which are often monitored in municipal waste water
treatment operations. While regulations differ from
one location to the next and are the responsibility
of the user, Clean and Gone may be disposable
in your waste water system without the fear of
incurring additional disposal costs or the fines
associated with regulatory violations.

INCREASE EFFICIENCY &

DECREASE MAINTENANCE OF
OIL / WATER SEPARATORS
Clean and Gone can lessen the hydrocarbon
sludge in the OWS, allowing it to operate more
efficiently, with reduced maintenance costs.
This decreased hydrocarbon level can lower the
regulatory status of the OWS sludge, which can
result in reduced disposal methods and costs.
This can cut back the frequency of sludge cleanout,
resulting in less downtime and labor costs.

Clean and Gone is not an emulsifier, like many

other cleaners. Emulsifying cleaning compounds
disperse oil in wash water and make the OWS
ineffective. Oil then passes right through to the sewer.

Clean and Gone has zero volatile organic

compounds, known as VOCs. Many competitive
cleaners are high in VOCs.
VOCs have been found to be a major contributing
factor to ozone, a proven public health hazard.
In some parts of the world it is not lawful to use
cleaners with VOCs. Clean and Gone is a unique
product in that it is both a great cleaner and has
zero VOCs.

ODORLESS AND SAFE TO USE

HOW TO USE:
May be used with a pump-up sprayer with hose
and mixer, a mop, floor scrubber or any other
reasonable application device for cleaning and
dispensing a liquid for cleaning.
Results will vary based on porosity of substrate,
depth of penetration, age of hydrocarbon deposit,
amount of build-up, use of equipment such as a
power washer, and other factors.
Repeated applications may be required as the
product keeps extracting oil from below the
surface of a spill or stain.
Leaving product on oil, grease and other hydrocarbons will turn them into dust. Time will vary
based on conditions & thickness of hydrocarbon
about 4 hours in hot conditions with good
air flow, about 36 hours in cold conditions with
poor air flow.
Dilution Ratios: varies by application and product
from 1:1 to 1:15. Depending on the application,
one gallon may treat a surface from several hundred
square feet up to several thousand square feet.

Clean and Gone is an odorless product, so no

more worries about those strong-smelling pine
or citrus cleaners, especially in enclosed spaces.

After

Clean and Gone is water-based, so users do

not need to worry about the flammability issues
associated with low-flash point cleaners. The
ingredients in this product are safe enough that
another version of this product with similar
ingredients is used in the preparation and handling
of foodstuffs.
