Graduate Human Resources

COMPANY
Sydney, Australia

Dear Graduate Human Resources,

My name is XXX and I am writing to express my strong interest in the COMPANY
NAME graduate program as the (SPECIFY) industry is an area where I am passionate
about. In particular, I have chosen the Marketing stream given my relevant education
and work experience.
My suitability for the position is first demonstrated through my strong academic
background. I am a final year Marketing/Finance student at the University of
Technology, Sydney, and consistently perform strongly, being admitted onto the Deans
List in 2010 and achieving 3rd place in one of my Marketing subjects. This combination
of study provides me with strong quantitative, qualitative and commercial skills, all
essential to adapt to the fast-paced nature of (SPECIFY INDUSTRY).
Recently, I have completed an internship at a major FMCG company where I later
returned as a Sales Analyst. Here, I worked on a series of growth and optimisation
projects which furthered my interest in sales, marketing and business strategy. This
required me to critically evaluate data, consumer behaviour and trends to develop
strategic recommendations. These were pitched to Coles and Woolworths with one of
my ideas implemented in Woolworths stores, a feat I am proud of achieving as an
intern.
I have also shown initiative and leadership through my involvement in senior levels as a
member of both the UTS Business Connection and I Heart UTS student societies. Here,
I ran the Careers & Education portfolios, attracting interest and sponsorship from
academic and corporate organisations. I wish to further develop the skills that I have
gained and would like the opportunity to transfer them to a professional environment
through working for (INSERT COMPANY).
Thank you for your kind consideration, I look forward to discussing my application
with you in more detail.
Kind regards,
MY NAME
