Various TOOLS and its uses

INTERMEDIATE devices (switch, ATM)

END device used commonly
Used to establish communication between END devices i.e
between Trarnsmitter and Receiver
Constant Bit Rate (CBR) connection is commonly used in
Establishing a wireless network
To form a wireless network among END devices
To establish a SUBNET among END devices
To establish satellite communication among the END
devices
To establish HUB among the END devices
To establish Hierarchy Network among the END devices
To provide MOBILITY to the END device

Now we see the steps how to simulate a WIRELESS NETWORK scenario

Number of END devices (Nodes): 20

Physical Layer: 802.11a, 802.11b
MAC layer: 802.11
Network Layer: AODV, DSR, ZRP

Step 1:
Place the required number of END devices (NODES) on the scenario
(20) from toolset

Step 2:
Place SUBNET to form wireless subnetwork among END devices

Step 3:
Connect the SUBNET CLOUD to all END devices by pressing ctrl+A
and Right click the SUBNET CLOUD then select Link all Nodes to
190.0.0.0

Step 11:
After setting up the properties for the scenario, establish a
CBR(Constant Bit Rate) link between the Transmitter END device(s) and
Receiver END device(s)

Step 12:
Now save the Scenario

13

Step 13:
After saving the scenario, click run simulation to check the error

Step 14:
If there is no error, execute the scenario and click analyzer after
execution

Step 15:
The analyzer window will appear as below, using this we can see various
anlyzed results of the executed scenario.

Step 16: Example: CBR server throughput
