Looking at this album cover advert the use of the artist name wretch 32 connotes that
his music may be unsuitable for a younger audience and may suit a more mature
audience most likely ranging from fifth teen and over. The font and lettering on this
album cover advert is light toned and easy to read by the audience in terms of
wretchrospective and the features, whereas with the artists name the font is quite
urban with some of the letter looking to be presumably scratched. This connotes that
wretch is of urban culture as the letter represents un-clean or imperfect projection of
wretch as an artists as opposed to other artists in the same field as him. The title of the
album wretchrospective suggests that he will change the peoples perspective of
either him or those similar to him and change the way those who listen to his musics
point of view and perspective. The most dominant colours in this advert are white and
black which most likely suggests the simplicity of music in which music can either be
in either one specified category or another as well as this the artist himself is wearing
a white t shirt but has pitch black arms which may connote that he stands with neither
side and in fact is a combination of the both. The cross in the artists pocket could
connote that his music has aspects of God or Christ in the lyrics or symbolise the fact
that he may need forgiveness for his music. In terms of physical appearance the artist

is clearly looking away from the camera and is standing with his right shoulder up this
whole shot may be to show that he is not hiding anything and that his whole
personality is open. The artists facial expressions are quite normal and straight faced
which suggests that he is just a regular person who doesnt see himself as
something special among other people who do not do music. This artists seems not to
fit into his genre as commonly in rap the rappers believe they are better than the
average person which can be seen through their music videos and adverts with quite
blatant expensive clothing a jewellery to flaunt their wealth to show their success and
this album cover does not portray the artist this way. The target audience for this
album advert are those age 16 and upwards who live or lived in urban as the cover
suggests this by these people being the target audience that they can relate to the
artists through current life or past life.
