MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION NO. 067-2014

GRANTING AUTHORITY TO HONORABLE ANN Y. ONGJOCO, MUNICIPAL MAYOR OF
GUINOBATAN, ALBAY TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT WITH PRINCIPAL OFFICE AT
BATASAN PAMBANSA COMPLEX, CONSTITUTION HILLS, QUEZON CITY, REPRESENTED
BY CORAZON JULIANO-SOLIMAN, SECRETARY OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND
DEVELOPMENT, TO USE THE USER NAME AND PASSWORD OF THE NATIONAL
HOUSEHOLD TARGETING SYSTEM FOR POVERTY REDUCTION (NHTS-PR).

WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) maintains a

database on Filipinos through its National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction
(NHTS-PR) and the Local Governments, in this instance the Local Government of Guinobatan, to
access the data maintained under the NHTS-PR;
WHEREAS, the DSWD shall provide a User Name and Password that will be used to
access the data from the NHTS-PR;
WHEREAS, the LGUs access to these data is necessary as a means of transmitting
feedbacks to the DSWD about the services and subsidies provided by it to the poor households,
and through this, paves the way in improving the NHTS-PR, thereby strengthening the effective
implementation of programs and projects to alleviate poverty, among others;
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it now:
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Guinobatan, Albay in
session assembled, to grant as it hereby grants authority to Honorable Ann Y. Ongjoco, Municipal
Mayor of Guinobatan, Albay to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department Of

Social Welfare and Development with principal office at Batasan Pambansa Complex, Constitution
Hills, Quezon City, represented by Corazon Juliano-Soliman, Secretary of Social Welfare and
Development, to use the user name and Password of the National Household Targeting System for
Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR).
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the provisions of the Memorandum of Agreement be made an
integral part of this resolution.
RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the Honorable
Mayor and such other concerned offices/agencies, for their information and appropriate action.
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY, on motion of the Sponsoring Committee Chairman,
Honorable Councilor Frances John M. Oxales and duly seconded by the members present this 26 th
day of May, 2014 during their 18th Regular Session.
