Legal Issue: Whether or not the provisions of R.A. 3672 (Section 2;
Section 3 (e) and (g)) as embodied in the Resolution No. 7725 or the
Davao City Children's Welfare Code develop and protect the children in
selected barangays in Davao City?
QUESTIONS:
1. Are there any cases of:
a) Abused, neglected, exploited children in the barangay?
b) Children voluntarily put by their parent(s) in the custody of
the day care center?
2. Are these children usually male or female?
3. Are they habitually neglected or abused or exploited? Why? Are
there records that show if the parents did such act which ended the
children up in this day care center?
4. Are these children products of broken families, unmarried couples,
or of single parents?
5. Are the parents of the children who are in the day care center
employed?
6. If there are no cases of abused, neglected, exploited children, or
that of children voluntarily put by their parents in the custody of
the day care center, what are the other functions done by the
workers of the day care center?
7. What is the immediate course of action done by the barangay to
cater to the needs of these children?
8. Are there enough barangay officials to render service for the day
care center?
9. Are the facilities in the day care center adequate to support the
children in the program?
a) If the facilities are not enough, what are the remedies that
the barangay officials do in order to cater to the needs of
these children?
10. Are there instances of delay in rendering service to children in the
day care center?
a) What are the instances of these delays, if any?
11. What are the probable causes of the abuse experienced by these
children?
12. What are possible solutions to minimize these cases of abuse,
neglected, exploited children that the barangay officials can do?
13. Do you think these cases of abused, neglected, or exploited
children are common in your area? Why?

14. Do you also accommodate abused, neglected or exploited children


not from your barangay?
15. Does the government provide enough support with engaging to
help these abused, neglected, exploited children?
