deletioncriteriaaredeletednightlybytheIEMRetentionManageragent.Whentheoutofofficeagentisenabled,
autodeletewillbesuspendedforthatuser.Uponreturn,aformulausingtheusersreturndateandspecified
graceperiodcalculateswhentheoutofofficeagentisdisabledgivingtheusertimetomanagemessagesthat
werereceivedwhileoutoftheoffice.TousetheOutofOfficefunctionality,clickMoreOutofOfficeSet
leavedate,returndateandenable.

Usinganexampleofa5daygraceperiod:

Whenthereturndateisreachedortheuserdisablesoutofoffice(whichevercomesfirst)thegrace
periodclockstartsticking.

Iftheuserisoutmorethan5days,thegraceperiodisthe5daymaximumthatwasspecified.

Iftheuserwasout5days,theywillgeta4daygraceperiod(numberofdaysoutminus1).

Iftheuserwasout1plusdaysbutlessthan5days,thegraceperiodequalsthenumberofdaystheuser
wasoutminus1.

3.5 DefaultProfilesandCorporateFolders
AsaparticipantinamailenvironmentbeingmanagedbyIEMdyouwillhavebeenassignedasetofdefault
metadatasettingsinaProfileandasetoforganizationalFolderswithdefaultsettingstoassistyouingetting
started.

3.6 IEMManagedFolders
Thedefaultcorporatefolders,alsocalledIEMManagedFolders,thathavebeenpushedtoyourIEMenabledmail
filemaybemodified,preexistingmailfoldersmaybemodifiedandnewfoldersmaybecreatedandprofiled.
IEMManagedfoldersallowyoutodesignateandprofileemailsinoneeasystepbydragginganddroppingemail(s)
intothesespecialfolders.Theycanhelpyoutoquicklydesignateandprofileemailsindividuallyorinbatch.IEM
Managedfoldershavepreassignedrecordtypesandprofilesassignedtothem,thus,eliminatingtheneedto
manuallyselecttheseitemseachtimeyouprofileanemail.IEMManagedfolderscanberootlevelornested.
