formatting, wording, and layout of both a resume and a cover letter by participating in group activities that
will increase your understanding of these job market essentials.

"FitKids360: an Overview
Description: FitKids360 is a community stage two obesity intervention program for kids
ages 5-16 with a BMI>85%. This presentation will describe the FitKids360 program
components and will provide information regarding evaluation measures and outcomes.

Personal Defense with Charles Wells

Emerging Trends in Job Applications and Interviews - applying and interviewing for jobs has changed in
the last ten years, this presentation will go over some of the new technology used by companies in their
hiring practices including; video interviews, online applications and social media.
Charles Wells, professor in the Exercise Science Department, will demonstrate and give the opportunity
to practice some basic personal defense techniques.

Accreditation, Planning, and Public Health OH MY!


The past decade has been transformational for public health. Public health professionals have learned
tobe creative and more resourceful than ever, working to maintain a sufficient level of service with
evershrinking
national, state, and local budgets. For the first time, standards and benchmarks for public health practice
have been developed and administered nationally through a national accreditation program created
specifically for public health. These standards and benchmarks have led to systems level
change and quality improvement efforts across the board in public health, as well as a shift toward
systems alignment and expanded community collaboration. This presentation will share how Kent
County Health Department has adapted to the changing landscape of public health and how the
Department succeeded in becoming one of the first 54 health
departments in the country to achieve national accreditation. The presentation will also touch on public

Older Adults on their journeys and success throughout their lives. The
presentation will also touch on the aging body and mind and include a
Ford Fieldhouse, Mat Activity Room Lannie demonstration of Range of Motion exercises that are critical to the
