WHEREAS The ____________ County Republican Executive Committee


having the duty to promote the development and maintenance of good
government at the local, state and national level must step forward when
those standards of good government are devalued to a point where the
trust and confidence of its people is lost, and

WHEREAS The ____________ County Republican Executive Committee,


having the duty to recruit and encourage qualified candidates for elected
office within ____________ County, Alabama, has the right and the duty
before the people of ____________ County, Alabama, to protect that
process from outside political influence and special interest

WHEREAS Congressman Parker Griffith was elected to Congress in


Alabama 5th Congressional District on the Democratic Ballot

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith aggressively


campaigned against the Republican Platform and the interest of the
Republican Party

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith provided Campaign


Funding to Democrats including Democratic Chairman Howard Dean,
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid against the
interest of the Republican Party

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith provided Campaign


Funding to defeat Republican Senator Jeff Sessions, Senator Bob Corker
and Congressman Robert Aderholt

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith voted for the sitting


Democrat Majority Leadership, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith voted as a Member of


Congress 84.5% with the Majority Democratic Party against the best
interest of the Republican Party

WHEREAS Congressman Parker Griffith pledged to vote to repeal the


Bush Tax Cuts against the best interest of the Republican Party

WHEREAS Congressman Parker Griffith pledged to impose a deadline


date for retreating from Iraq against the best interest of the Republican
Party

WHEREAS Congressman Parker Griffith pledged to vote for “Card Check”


which is the removal of secret ballot in unionized elections against the best
interest of the Republican party

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith strongly supported the


Health Care Reform agenda that the Democrat Majority Leadership
outlined against the best interest of the Republican Party and principles
until strong opposition from North Alabama caused his position to change

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith changed his Party


affiliation, against the best interest of the Republican Party and principles,
as a political tactic to better insure his political future

WHEREAS Congressman Democrat Parker Griffith has retained a


substantial Campaign Account secured from Democrat Contributions
resulting in a Democrat Controlled and Financed Campaign against the
best interest of the Republican Party, thereby imposing an unfair advantage
over Republican Candidates Les Phillip and Morris (MO) Brooks

WHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that The ____________ County


Republican Executive Committee opposes Dr. Parker Griffith being on the
2010 Alabama 5^th Congressional District Republican Primary Ballot, and
that the ____________ County Republican Party encourages all County
Republican Parties within Alabama's 5th Congressional District to join the
____________ County Republican Party in this Resolution, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ____________ County Republican


Executive Committee urges Elbert Peters, Chair of the Republican 5th
Congressional District Committee to hold an emergency meeting for the
purpose of discussing the status of Congressman Parker Griffith on the
2010 Alabama 5th Congressional District Republican Primary Ballot
