This week in science the students will
continue to study their bodies. We will complete an experiment where they use a chart (similar to the one we used for animals) to compare different pictures of people. The students can identify the different parts of the body that vary the most to compare and how they vary, and will learn the vocabulary to compare. We will also discuss actions that we can do with our bodies, and review our senses.
Living, non-living, alive, dead, live, die.
Breath, breathing, air. Eat, food, drink, water. Animals, plants and people are living things. Mountains, buildings etc are non-living things.
Grammar
This week in grammar the students will be
studying singular and plural forms of nouns in different endings. They will begin by reviewing when to use 'a' and 'an' in front of consonants and vowels, and progress onto plural forms using a simple added 's', and words where we add 'es'. The students will complete written exercises in the workbook, and practice speaking in full sentences. We can also practice identifying the correct words with which to use each form using the Relay Game.
