RESEARCH:
- To search again, to take another more
careful look, and to find out more
(Selltiz, et al. 1971)
- Systematic, objective, and
comprehensive investigation of a
certain phenomenon (Kerlinger 1986)
- Investigation undertaken to discover
new facts or to get additional
information (Webster)

STRUCTURE OF TECHNICAL/

1.) The introductory paragraphs
- explain the subject/topic
- relate past studies or previous
researches about the subject
- state the purpose and the
significance of the present research,
and ends with the thesis statement
or the research problem

- Longest and most substantial part
- Includes critical review of related
materials & studies
- Describe the research design and
method
- Presents, analyzes, and interprets
the data gathered (tables/ graphs
may be used to support ideas)
