Field of view of any size

analysis Inclusion Inspector works with a field of view of any size. The only
limitation to examining macroscopic specimen surfaces is the dimensions of
the stage being used. When an inclusion covers more than one field of view
it is automatically recognised as a single particle and reconstructed.
Classifications
Classification differentiates between sulfidic and oxidic inclusions. Oxidic
inclusions are also subdivided into dissolved, striped and globular oxides.
Inclusions are classified in accordance with ASTM E45, DIN 50602 and JIS G555. Standards can be added at any time via the editable classification
sheets. Additional standards might include other national or international
standards or a standard used by your own lab.
Chart comparison
In addition, analysis Inclusion Inspector conducts image chart comparisons.
You compare charts onscreen with the camera showing a live image. Various
EN ISO, DIN and ASTM charts are available. Using the included chart
manager you can easily define your own charts and integrate them into the
chart pick list. The chart comparison uses the entire monitor for displaying
reference images and the live image. This means that working with
tremendously detailed images is ergonomic. Each reference image can be
assigned characteristic data numbers and text (e.g. grain sizes and type
classifications). When making your comparisons, this data can be transferred
to the results sheet simply by clicking the mouse button.
Analytical functions
Various analytical functions are provided by analysis Inclusion Inspector. You
can evaluate digitally acquired images fast, easily and flexibly thousands of
image objects can be quantitatively registered and analysed within seconds.
Surfaces, sizes and shape parameters of all kinds can be completely defined
for each particle. Particle detection supports analysis of multiphase objects,
which means when evaluating porous materials, both pores and grains can
be investigated simultaneously. These results are then classified according to
criteria that you have defined beforehand. The results will be displayed in
sheets or diagrams.
